  • I think you did a really good job. The one thing I struggled with was mining upwards. I kept on always going down. Also, the first thing I saw once I hit the first stage was the gem bag to return. I hit that, not knowing what it was, and got sent to the home screen in shame, unable to return. I think you know you can be successful with this game. No question about it. Keep at it.
  • The art for this game was made very well, I am a fan of this artistic style, though I felt it was a bit hard to read the font you chose for this game. In regards to playability, I would say that even though there weren't issues with the controls that were laid out, I did find the menu areas to be in need of some adjustments; the volume slider, back button and I recall the play/option buttons (after you died or returned to the king) to not be directly clickable or draggable respectively, instead, you had to hover your mouse slightly above said area in order to accurately click/drag those specific buttons. It was also a bit of a challenge at the start (before playing) due to the larger screen size the game was asking for when loading up. As for the implementations of the themes, I only found that having to craft potions and even use them for combat purposes wasn't a unique approach for the alchemy part. As for shadow, there wasn't really anything to go off of when playing, nor from the story, so I cannot speak to it. Overall, besides making adjustments to the settings menus, I would have liked to see how both themes could have been incorporated into the overall story you were trying to tell. Keep up the good work.

This was so fun! I did find it hard to get out once I dug too deep and the text was pretty hard to read, but otherwise I really enjoyed playing this. Amazing work!

There's clearly a lot of talent going into this project, I'm better for having played it! The systems are well tuned and the art is very engaging and keeps you exploring. The story line has good humor (the king's voice is very Banjo, love it), I always enjoy some slapstick. A couple things I'd consider moving forward:
- I kept trying to jump over the bag in the beginning and ending my run without realizing what I was doing (I'm bad, but gotta design to the dumbest guy in the room ha)
- Things load almost a bit TOO quick, maybe tune the scene transitions to give some space to mentally transition as well
- Kept digging myself into holes I couldn't really get out of, maybe adding a direction to your swing to help aim where you're digging?
- When starting your level and showing that tutorial book pages (which look GREAT), I was initially confused that clicking the book to start the level was the move, maybe add some text over the top to show you're beginning there

Will keep this one on the watch list!

OMG thanks. Umm how do i start answering everything okay so first it is not talent that went in to this it is just sleepples nights lol (i made this in like 9days?) and the king's voice is mine i think it just became perfect lol. And maybe when this jam ends and i will get back home i could add some of your ideas. The scene transition one is actually a new and super interesting idea. THANK YOU for playing my game and giving me such good feedback

So cool! Art is super nice and the mining is addictive. Combat is hard and seems kinda hard to defend oneself and moving up is kinda hard as well even with the rope. Otherwise really nice game, keep it up!

Developer

Yeah you have to just train to get hang of the upwards mining mechanic but thanks for playing

ALL GAS.

This game is so much fun. I love how you can play it straight or jump into sandbox and just spam explosive potions. Very creative and the fun factor is there.

Also I wanted to note that if I use an explosive potion on a block that my rope was connected to, the rope disappears, but I can still climb up and down an invisible rope until I choose to get off. Not a big deal but figured you'd want to fix it.

LOL okey i wanted to make the game fun so thanks. And the rope thing sound fun lol (i will fix it) ty for playing
