  • Reading through your GDD, I'm super surprised that you had made this in just 5 days! You laid all of your plans our very well. I appreciated that you included descriptions of all the different cards and how they interacted with each other within it too! I might also recommend doing the same fore the different enemies and their abilities. The game itself was really fun! I enjoyed the planning aspect, though it took me a moment to realize that the number of rounds I had was limited, and not that there was a new set of cards after every firing. I still enjoyed the puzzles, and the sound design complimented the atmosphere of the game. Thank you for putting in a volume and music toggle, too! Overall, I enjoyed the game, and I hope you continue to expand on it!
  • I had fun with this game! A fun little puzzler based around ordering effects of cards to damage enemies, untitled-card-puzzle-game provided a great brain stretch. Art and style is basic but well laid out and explained in the GDD. Sound and music came in perfectly and I experienced no issues with gameplay. I would suggest having the next level/failed level progress based on click instead of timer, and maybe a level select for completed levels as I found myself wanting to go back a couple times to do the mission again. Unfortunately, the game doesn't make much of an attempt at following the theme, but despite that, i would love to see this developed further! Great job!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
You play as a revolver that shoots magic bullets/cards.

How to play:
1. See which enemies you have to defeat
2. Pick cards in a correct order
3. if you picked correct sequence you win, otherwise try another strategy

There are 8 levels in total, when you complete them, you will be awarded with funny credits page.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
When I first heard jam theme: "You are the weapon", I instantly imagined player controlling the weapon. The whole game you play as a revolver that casts magic shots.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Please pay attention that rushing is not a key to fun here!

The music is super simple yet it keep up focus ! Nice little game with the right amount amount of challenge, could be explained a little more at first but we quickly got the hang of it !
Very nice !

Thanks for the feedback!!

I’m really glad that you have appreciated the sound design, since it’s an important part of emotions I wanted player to experience.
Indeed, the introduction should be a bit clearer, and I’ll totally keep that in mind for the next jam. I guess I'd make some kind of a tutorial next time =]]

Nonetheless,  I am really happy you have enjoyed the challenge!

Nice little puzzle game! Maybe I missed it but i wasn't sure how much damage enemies do. Good job!!! Keep making games!

Hey, glad you enjoyed the game!!

I didn't display incoming damage explicitly, although it could be viewed via hovering a mouse on top of any enemy.

Most fights are designed so that the player shouldn't take any damage at all. For example, the player should use the "Rebound Shot" or "Frozen Shard" card to mitigate incoming attacks.
