  • Pretty cool concept I really enjoyed the game and made sure to complete it to see how it ended. I found myself trying to chase down meteors even when I couldn't really break them right away. I did find the music was really nice and the transition from being launched into space to falling from space was a nice touch. Suggestion: - Once all upgrades hit 20 you should add an ultimate ability.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
Meteors are attacking your neighborhood. And you decide to take matters into your own hands ... quite literally! You borrow your neighbor's cannon, shoot yourself towards the meteors, and after your success you're granted a government contract where you destroy meteors, defeat the source, and save your neighborhood.

Controls using the keyboard. WASD to move. J,K,L for attacks 1,2, and 3 respectively. Space to roll and interact. (Attack while rolling for modified attacks).

Upgrade your cannon and your character to destroy more meteors of increasing difficulty. Hint: you DEFINITELY want to max out your cannon upgrade.

The entire story campaign lasts 30 - 60 minutes, depending on your skill level. You can also keep playing after the campaign if you so wish.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
"You are the Weapon". The player fires himself from a cannon and destroys meteors with his body.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Please enjoy. Keep in mind that some small features were planned but cut due to time. See the game design document for details (marked in red font). Playability was the focus. The game is complete when the NPC mentions "post game".

Such a fun game. It was really fun to play. I love the chill zen like skydiving music, followed by the sudden smack into the ground. Made me laugh out loud.

Thanks. I'll have to revisit that!

A fun take on the whole "You're shooting something up int he area and buying upgrades to make it go further" genre! Simple but fun.

But I gotta ask, can we have some sort of "hold button down to keep attacking" function? By the last couple of rounds I was getting pretty fatigued pounding J.

I also really like the play on the theme. It feels almost like "You're the ammunition" at first until you realise nah mate.... you're doing bloody KARATE on the meteors!
