  • Lol this game is awesome. The music is really really good and I appreciate the 8bit remix on the title. The artwork is also great, and it has a really humorous theme. I really like the solid snake phone calls mixed with the absurd bird mechanics haha. Given how the controls are laid out, I used the arrow keys for movement on the ground but then found it difficult to switch to A/D while aiming my missile in the air. Just a small thing. Another piece of feedback is that I wish I got to do something a bit more fun or creative than blow guys up. I understand that theres a lot of time constraints but with how funny and well put together everything was, it felt a bit like a let down that my main mechanic was pretty straight forward. However the dialogue was really funny and it made it fun to look for the little dudes to blow them up. Overall I think its a great entry! I really enjoyed playing it and think it definitely has alot of potential!

Cute game! I torpedoed as far as I could and may have softlocked myself at the x5 bread gate, not really sure how to progress from there. Really nice job tho!

Just from the bread alone this is the best game so far.

The music and sound effects were great, and the art was amazing!

The game felt really complete, though I would have liked more levels, but as it is, it is an amazing prototype.

There was a bug, or maybe something that was intended that I found. When I was at the gate that required 5 bread, and I was sitting at 3, I tried to fly up the building and realised it reached the top, then torpedoed down to the ground. Upon landing head first on the ground, I teleport back to one of the earlier telephone poles, which had a completed quest. I’m not too sure if this was intended.

I loved all the little details that was added in the game, though I was a little sad at the bakery being blown up. The game is super well polished and the mechanics were great!

Only thing I would like to see would be a settings menu to turn up/down the music and sound effects.

Game balancing wise, torpedo seems way better than the explosion, unless you’re breaking a window. Not sure if it is because of the cost of the explosion, the chargeup, or the fact that you don’t move, but it seems a little underwhelming compared to being a flying missile.

Incredible. What a fun experience. I especially love to LEG after exploding someone.

Just altogether a great game, I would just add that volume slider and probably change the rotate while torpedo to up and down keys rather than left and right, would make more sense to me at least ;3

Holy moly! I think the best part was the Metal Gear Solid Reference. So many funny little details and references. Sountrack inspired by Heartbound? Great work!

This was an awesome game. I though the controls were a little awkward at times but once I got used to them it was very fun. I'd love to see an expanded version of this but this was perfect for the jam. Great art, music, and gameplay!

This is super polished. The art and extra pigeon details like the leg stretch are perfect. The music is charming. I found the steering tricky, especially in the tight spaces between buildings. As a result I ended up softlocked where I was stuck between buildings I couldn't get through on the ground and out of bread.

I'm not too sure what you mean about soft locked and getting stuck between buildings.I think you might have missed the tutorial at the start saying E to interact on the trash bin - as they give infinite crumbs so you can always top up on charge!

it seems that's our biggest feedback item at the moment. I have addressed this already in a future build to really show that the bins are a thing you can interact with - rather then just being a item in the scene :) 

there is a hidden mech where you can roll around a bit to charge - its not very much but it was more in the case of if you needed just that little bit more but cbf walking to the nearest bin to get more crumbs haha

If I had a nickel for every exploding bird submission to this game jam, I'd have at least 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that there are multiple.

I speedran the game for the time of 2.5 minutes. Resetting the game so often made me appreciate all those main menu screens (love the one where the pigeons stares into your soul)!

"HOW?" Incredible journey. Loved all the little interactions the pigeon has from the exploding to flipping around after blowing up against a wall. Just a wonderful game. The ending was just unhinged. Presentation is great.

Beat the whole than, man that was a lot of fun. The sheer amount of polish that got put into this game, in two weeks, is incredible. Solid controls, lovely animations, amazing audio.

Criticism would be to better inform players rolling recharges energy, if there was a tutorial I missed it. Also some more interestingly designed targets, some felt repetitive and game is really easy.

Rolling isn't the intended way of getting more charge, there is a tutorial at the start saying E to interact on the trash bin but I feel that hasn't been obvious enough. I have added in the speech bubble that I will add in after the jam to make it more clearer :) 

And yes! In the future there will be more ways to interact with the environment with the explosions - the intention was to make a playable vertical slice, rather than a full game from start to finish

This is so fun! Love this little game! Wish the game is a bit longer though. The graphic is good, the controls feels smooth and nice, the pacing is sweet, and is very entertaining too! Good job!

I didn't know that rolling recharge your bread until the end and just felt a bit sad not fully utilising the pigeon. Wish it was told in the game earlier. The game also ended quite abruptly, likely due to time concerns since 2 weeks is not exactly long when considering the amount of work you've put in.

Anyway, I am looking forward to how this game evolves and I am certain it will be a blast! Well done you guys!

rolling for charge wasn't supposed to be the main mechanism for regaining charge - it was pressing E to interact with the green trash bins that give you unlimited crumbs. There is a tutorial for this but it looks like we need to make it more obvious :)

We wanted to ensure that we didn't scope creep so the game itself it pretty short but we made sure that everything else we did made up for it haha. There's also how much time in the day we can set aside for this (I work full time, and am a dad) so I only really had a few hours a night to work on this.

After the jam the game will get updated with a few QOL things that we have noticed and hopefully we can add more content

The graphics and music are on point. I love the flight mechanic. Everything looks so polished. I got stuck because I ran out of bread.

You can get infinite crumbs from pressing E on the green trash bin, I will be making this tutorial clearer in the future 🙂

I loved this game! It's very short but very fun, and there are so many subtle secrets that I ended up playing it 3 times in a row. Nice one!

Yeah we had to keep it quiet short just so we could stay on track with our already insane idea haha. 

After the jam there's some QOL I will be fixing up right away. The team and I are considering adding more content at the moment too (hopefully in the near future)
