Color pallet
GameBoy
What did you learn during the jam?
To simulate electrical discharge patterns I used Aseprites spray tool to generate a random, chaotic pattern. Carefully adding random dots eventually created traceable patterns.
Difficulties/Obstacles
The GameBoy four color pallet forces you to make deliberate considerations for light and shadow. But creative struggles often result in creative solutions and unexpected inpspirations.
Theme and Restriction idea(s) for the next jam
Theme: Water. Restriction: No blue.

The thumbnail is exciting, looks like a fun pack of elements to put together. My favorite are the water tiles, you found a lot of action and variety.
Thank you, so glad you like them! After completing the elements I had fun arranging the blocks to make a few different layouts.
I really like this one! It has a great visual identity that sets it apart from many other GB-style assets
Thank you so much, Fava Beans, that means a lot to me. I wanted to be different but worried that the 48x48 px strayed from the true GB aesthetic. I ran out of time to properly scale it down and submit an 8x8 or 16x16 lol (^ v^)

Yeah, all previous jams was 2 weeks long with 1 week for ratings. This time was planned the same but I accidentally set it to 1 week so when I found it I extended it...
What can I say about assets?
They are amazing! It is under cc0 so can't not to promote OGA. Funny rock platforms. Their "faces" tell you: "Again? Just stop. You shall not past!" ;)

Thank you for the link to OGA info. I keep learning something new around here!
a very unique looking tileset, nice
Thank you, Pebonius. I liked yours, too. The tomato-looking creature ... the eyes are captivating! xD
I really loved these assets!! Congratulations!!
Thank you Boldoboldin, I liked your GB Icons. It's not easy to work with just 8x8! ^v^
