How does your entry fit the theme?
Technically the difficulty "builds up", but I had to cut my original idea to have defeated zombies increase the fort's defenses through sheer mass.
This jam was a challenge to myself to see if I could a new engine in a short amount time.

What would you like feedback on?
This is effectively a prototype rather than a full game, but I'd love to hear player thoughts and what feature should be implemented next.

What assets did you use (if any)?
I made my own 8x8 sprites using GIMP and recording all the sound effects using mouth noises in Audacity.

Mechanics were all super solid, didn't notice any bugs or anything. Cool art!

Future improvements: any kind of movement, or a new weapon type could have been cool just to break up the monotony a bit. Maybe a boss shows up and drops a new gun or something.

Solid submission!

My poor spacebar, I really got into this. Haha. For learning a new game engine on the fly, this game is a 5/5! Also after the first playthrough it seemed the zombies moved faster right off the bat rather than after 5 or 6 killed. Future implements? Uhh you could add maybe some base building mechanics or maybe other survivors can join you as a sort of "turret" system. Whether you build on this or turn it into an entirely different game, great job!

The project is quite interesting. UE as an engine surprised me, I can see that you are still learning in nodes. Success! I'd still work on the obviousness of upgrades for the player.
