Funny idea! I included it in my PowerPoint Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Thanks for reviewing! If you liked it you should try my upcoming game MaRWID - Droid assembly line

Like others have said, there seems to be some missing features (like music and hyperlinks), and a lot of the humor fell back on meme / internet culture references. I get that there's an audience for that kind of thing, but even then I thought it was rough in sections. Like, naming it Entitled Goose Game and making a goose with a Karen haircut demanding the manager? That's fine, I suppose. But just taking the official Steam page's artwork and adding a monocle to it? Randomly transitioning to an Undertale-like boss fight complete with Sans Undertale's glowing eye? That's more the territory of those sketchy mobile games with names like Super Hero Big Gun World Vampire.

From a gameplay side, there's a bit of a bug in the boss fights where you can die to a black bar with that fade effect before it's completely faded in - or in some cases before it even appears, leading to some very confusing deaths.

Developer

The undertale fight was not random, you get 2 options on that scene where you can attack or use dialogue, the hyperlinks where fixed, and the black bars are just a powerpoint problem i cant fix.

Hey Foxzilla Entertainment! Just one question about your game. Is it fine if I try and remaster your game "Entitled Goose Game" into a more polished looking game? It would be nice to recreate everything and make it look more modern and better. Looking forward for the collaboration!

Maybe after the game jam you can make a spin off, but take into account that more updates are comming

Submitted

Sorry, but this isn't for me. It came across as a series of <insert meme here> references most of the time without any meaningful context. If that's what you like, then you'll probably love this game, but yea; not for me. On a positive note I liked the pixel art style you began adding.

Developer

I dont know what meme references you talk about, but i think you should skip the main storyline and wait for the next update that includes an alternative storyline meant to be less cringy and more consistent.

This game deserves the "Most Comedic" crown of this jam just for that awesome title jajajaja

Loved it!

Developer(+1)

thanks!

Developer

I suggest that those who left a comment rate the game it would help me alot

I guess this is kinda like a fan player base.

Im lazy to reply to everyone so im just going to say something:

First of all, remember to read the devlogs because most of the suggestions are coming today, theres going to be a graphic revamp and bugfixes. The hyperlinks where fixed, and after the update ends theres music and aditional side quests to wait for the sequel.

Submitted(+1)

Rather silly, I like it.

As has been mentioned before, the hyperlinks are quite akwardly placed for some reason? Clicking buttons was more difficult than it should have been ;p

But it was pretty fun!

This game made my day!

Loved its trash graphics. It's funny. But you should fix misplaced hyperlinks.

Waiting for a sequel about Nuclear War ;)

Developer

fixed, also dont spoil the sequel

I liked your play on the title, and the thumbnail is funny. But the lack of visuals, misplaced hyperlinks, and the overall story is messy. But overall, it's an effort, and lot's of work is needed for improvement.

(edit: changed my review to reflect on the update)

4.5 5/10 - Gameplay

6/10 - Design

4 5/10 - Story

5.5/10 - Comedic Value

4.75  5.375/10 - Overall Score

Im really just playing around with the concept and not taking it that seriously, thanks for the feedback tho.

The visual are made mostly with powerpoint art and paint.net, the only valuable visuals (atleast to me) are the ones in the npcs and the IDEA shop, the misplaced hyperlinks are really because i rushed them a bit. And the story is meant to be just a wacky goose doing uncharacteristic things in a quest for his bread.

This is my first time trying to do comedy so i would love to know what to inprove in that aspect.

Thanks for the feedback and have a good day! ;)

edit: btw i loved crossy, i may review it tomorrow

Submitted

Glad you loved Crossy! I'm planning to update it soon before the jam ends to add additional worlds.

Developer

looking forward to the next update! Theres a big update coming to my game where i will try to do a graphic revamp and maybe adding some bits and pieces in other miscelaneous stuff.

Developer

hyperlinks fixed, visuals revamped, and still working on other things for the project. It has just started

Nice short funny game there!

What  I enjoyed about it: bunch of references, clear explanation of rules in the beginning, nostalgic MS Paint art style, challenging battle

Things that could be improved: music is missing (guess there is supposed to be some, from credits), buttons like "OK HONKER" have trigger zone not covering the whole size of button, no goose cursor displaying, I was able cheating with battle by moving cursor before full slide load, but really that is more related to PowerPoint itself, also attack sprites seem preloading a kind so I was hit before seeing the attack coming( played with PowerPoint 2007)

Bonus point: free assets yay!

Good job, keep it going!

Thanks, Im try to fix, im cheked this game on bugs on powerpoint 2016, i think the problem is the version...but I try to fix!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The goose cursor was just an asset that you have to install, it comes with the rar, you just have to drop it on cursors folder (in your pc) and select it as cursor
