Nice graphics and good use of the parallel theme. The character role using space bar was nice.

Besides the music issue mentioned below previously i think sound effects of characters would have been nice like taunts but also injury or death sounds including the player character. Also i jumped to a train i dont think i was meant to and the game got stuck.

Overall pretty good job though!

Love the story in this game, simple but effective! Definitely a tough tough challenge right at the start though, I think the game could feel better and more fair if the danger and enemy count ramps up slower than what happens now. I'm not too great at bullet hells in general, but there's a lot to like here still. The challenge of watching your ammo and timing shots right, the ability to roll dodge, the art and music - all winners! Nice job.

As scrunglium already mentioned, the music doesn't loop, which is a shame because I actually really liked the music, and the game closing when you die is a bit abrupt, but I really enjoyed this one. It is a very original idea, and there was a lot of freedom in what to do. It was really cool trying to decide at times whether or not to stay on a train because it would drive away if I left it, and I liked that and a lot of other things like it. The art is also really nice. Great Job!

P.S. My biggest recommendation would be to add a thumbnail as the lack of it caused me to go a while without trying this one, and especially when your art is so good, having a thumbnail would probably help bring people in!

This game is scuffed in many ways. A few small things kinda irk me, like the music doesn’t loop and the sound effects are not very impactful. That being said, I actually think the gameplay itself is great. I was surprised that there is a solid gameplay loop (the multiple waves and variations between them) and I felt like I was given choices about how to strategize. These kinds of choices are the thing I am looking for in video games in general. Genuinely one of the better games I have played this jam. Great job, folks!
