I love this game! The gameplay is pretty complicated, but not too much. It’s like two games in one! The simple controls with many different actions to perform was very helpful. I enjoyed the process of learning the recipes (it’s nice that there weren’t many). The sprite art and music is great too, it’s all so weird and creative and has a lot of charm. Y’all should be very proud of your work!

Genuinely great gameplay, I really wish there was a two-player versus mode. The intro cutscene is a gem all on its own :3

This game feels personal and authentic. It makes me feel like I’m stepping into your (the developer’s) mind and heart, and as a player I think that’s something really special to experience. I want to see more of that in the video games I play.

I believe this is the most outside-the-box concept I’ve seen for this jam. Really simple and very unique. This could totally be a microgame for WarioWare, it’s very much in the same vein as that. I really do wish there was some music though, I think it’d add a lot of charm.

This game is jank and I love it. All it’s really missing is sound effects, some goofy music, and maybe a restart button (I flew off the edge of the universe quite a bit)!

I got a little frustrated playing this game. Enemies deal too much damage, and I couldn’t attack anything due to small hitboxes and delayed animations. That being said, I see so much potential in here. It looks like a ton of effort went in to making so many components of this game. Multiple weapons, multiple enemy classes, and a whole weather system at the top! And all of these components have sound effects, animations, particles, and more! Everything is here. It’s awesome, I believe it only needs some tweaking to make it feel more natural, and it’ll be a masterpiece.

I’m not really sure why but I really love this lil game. It’s clearly scuffed in a few areas but I just dig it. It’s got soothing colors, a blissed out soundtrack, and nothing is missing. Not too difficult, not too easy. It was a poignant experience.

Nice colors, and I love that the music progresses as it gets further (as well as changing between dimensions). I also like that there’s a whole introductory cutscene with dialogue, very nice!

Yo this game has progressive music?? Very nice, also great sprite art!

I’m really glad I came back to play this because it’s worth it. The gameplay is surprisingly intuitive. I’m not really sure how else to explain except “it’s an unusual concept that just makes sense” and I think that’s really valuable for a game’s design. Also, very clever how the currently active floors all make parallel lines. It fits the theme and helps immensely with the aforementioned intuitiveness.

I’m using Firefox. I tried switching to Chrome and it did work, so I will rate it now! The only error message I noticed in the Firefox console was Uncaught DOMException: The operation is insecure.

This game made me chuckle because I love rats :3

The music is FIRE, keep cookin bro

This game is scuffed in many ways. A few small things kinda irk me, like the music doesn’t loop and the sound effects are not very impactful. That being said, I actually think the gameplay itself is great. I was surprised that there is a solid gameplay loop (the multiple waves and variations between them) and I felt like I was given choices about how to strategize. These kinds of choices are the thing I am looking for in video games in general. Genuinely one of the better games I have played this jam. Great job, folks!

Really cool game mechanic and solid level design too! I just wish (of course) that there were more levels to expand on the mechanics.

I was able to play it and I love it! There’s some surprisingly deep strategy to it and I love the variety of buildings and units. I also like how you play as Bill Cipher, the CEO of Stranger Things and force people into the upside down against their will :3

Really great puzzle gameplay, also I like that the level selection screen is a puzzle itself. Genius.

I actually like level 15 quite a bit, it made me chuckle and I think it’s a clever and unique game mechanic. The audio cues & telegraphing helped a bunch. Though I was a little paranoid that other levels were gonna have flukes in them afterwards!

I really want to try this game but I’m not seeing a submission to play in browser or download…

I genuinely was not expecting to see an intro cutscene. Good job!

Needs some sound effects pretty badly, and an undo button would be nice, but oh MAN is this a GREAT puzzle game. I am impressed with how perfect the difficulty is. It’s a difficult balance to strike but you hit it dead center. There are so many levels that I’m sure were not easy to design so expertly and I love the introduction of each new mechanic. Cute sprites, calm colors, and lovely music too. This one’s a keeper.

Oh man what a perfect game jam game. Fully realized in every way, especially story, and I’m glad it didn’t overstay its welcome. A+ folks.

I’m confused. Pretty sure I just got royally trolled. I spent like 20 minutes just marking different things to see if anything would happen. It looks like something is supposed to happen. Is something supposed to happen?

Regardless, for the brief time I believed that the word search was only introduction to whatever would come next, I just thought to myself “what a bold move for a game to OPEN with a word search.” Also great aesthetic and ambience.

The game doesn’t appear to start for me on the web; all I see is a black screen. I’d love to play it if it gets fixed!

Outstanding art style, I’d love to see more of this!

Solid game! The visuals are nice and juicy. I did want to mention though, that although the controls aren’t complicated, the info on the page (at the time I played) led me to believe they would be daunting. The specific bindings themselves are also unconventional and I think I’d prefer to simply use the arrow keys, Z, X for a short game like this.

Creative idea!

This is the one of the most solid entries I’ve seen. I love the everything. It’s delightfully difficult. Audio & visuals are extremely juicy. Seriously folks, great job. Wish I had it on my GBA growing up. I also wish I could pronounce the title.

I just so happened to play this game while hanging out with a friend and it made our evening. We were laughing out loud and screaming at each other. This is by far the MOST FUN game I have played in the jam. It’s awesome to see some good, old fashioned, cooperative(?), local multiplayer!! With some expansion, I would absolutely purchase this game on Steam.
