The source doesn't work on my machine though. I use python 3.10 and I don't think I have any missing dependencies.
I get this error message:
I use python 3.9, the "bad magic number" is an error that can only occur due the game being run on a later version. I'm assuming you downloaded the source? Since a magic number is a signature on a .pyc file and since my engine was converted to a .pyc file, it was sealed for only being able to run on 3.9...
To simplify it... The source won't work on 3.10, only 3.9... If it's not the source, I do not know what the problem is.
sorry
The Art is very very very nice! I don't have words !
Awesome Game Feel and VFX!
That's why you're getting extra points from my side
👌👌 Totally loved it!
Congratulations man 🎉!!!
Thanks a lot! :D
I remember playing Agile and I loved it. But this is even better I would say, and the polishing is top notch! The graphics are mesmerizing, and most importantly, I like the transitions that you added in the levels, and also the little cutscene-closing animation when one plays the quit button :D
I remember you followed the Agile posts on Reddit, thanks for the feedback! I know Agile was incredibly hard, how far did you get?
I went to level 2 in Agile lol. I am not much good with WASD controls for platformers. I only use them for FPS games. The progress in this game was much better than Agile. Though, the dark cave type level (similar to Agile) was also very hard here hehe.
Fun game with really nice visuals. I had a good time for the most part but I think subjectively it was a little too difficult.
Beautiful presentation, really class. Thank you for having sane controls. One of the most impressive entries for sure
It has some really good art and the game fell: squash and stretch, transitions between dimensions. The waterfall looks quite cool👏 Also, is it just me, or is that jump sound from Minecraft? I'm currently in the Scorching Hotlands dimension. As people said in discord, some parts could be a little easier, but it also is challenging and it feels nice when you finish the hard part. The game has a lot of potential for speedrunning
Thanks for the feedback! I thought of speedrunning too, but the game is not well known enough to have its own speedrunning category... I know some parts of the game are hard, but I'm happy to hear that you had the determination to push through the difficult parts of the game! Thanks a lot!
The game was laggy but I think it's just for my pc. When it actually loaded well, it looked so good and clear. For a game made in a week, it looks so good
Yeah.. Sadly my engine is resource heavy, and only works if you have a good pc or you're on full power mode on a low end one. Thanks for the feedback!
I love this, but the controls need some variation and the hit boxes need some work. Would lose to see this polished.
But wouldn't more controls be more difficult to learn/play? I tried to keep the controls simple so that people wouldn't have to memorize everything. Also, about the hitboxes, what can I change?
I'm not entirely sure how to answer the controls aspect, but it was complicated to get the hang of for me anyway. Regarding the hitboxes, I wonder if you can make them smaller, more finetuned? I would have to see how they are with the rects or however you did it. Maybe masks would be nicer or slightly smaller rects.
