Thanks for reporting it. Seems like this is an issue specific to the itch.io launcher(?). Also idk about directly launching index.html. As far as I know, it is supposed to run on a local server (running index.html by itself does not open a local server). Can you try running the game from itch.io itself? The browser-playable version? It should work in that case. Thanks for your patience.
Hey Thanks for posting the error. I am surprised because I did have shared array buffer support enabled ever since publishing this game. And it seems to work in 2 of my PCs in opera gx as well as edge. Can you please try it out in other browsers? Maybe it has something to do with your PC (which is unlikely, but could be).
I am not very good at playing games, so I felt it a bit hard to play in the beginning. Gradually got the feel of it, and kind of learnt the map temporarily, and it was smooth after that. The art is actually pretty good. The lighting effect is also good, I have been working on a similar game personally lol. Overall, great work!
Despite the unpolished gameplay, the game was actually pretty good! It is hard to make games with a story / Lore and add many multiple scenes + cutscenes. But yeah, the art could have been made much better and glitches fixed. But this is understandable considering this is a game jam. Overall, great work!
The idea is different from other games, and I feel this could be made into a better and well-polished games, but so far, this game does work well as a good prototype for that. But the graphics are very simple and sounds are not implemented. But due to the asset requirements enforced by this jam, it is good enough for a solo dev. Overall, the game was fun, and felt like a retro-arcade game. I like such games, and maybe if possible, you could develop this into a complete game in the future. I can also help if needed :) Good work!
Thanks for streaming, I looked through the stream, and it seems like you did not notice the small pollution bar at the top left. I agree I should have made it more noticeable, but the point of the game (original plan was way bigger) was to reduce the pollution level to 0 using the powerups, and you will get a win screen. Once again, thanks for streaming.
This is actually pretty cool! I am interested in knowing further how you did it. A small overview explanation should do. The physics is handled by pymunk, but how do the water droplets “merge”? Also, you should try linking the source code in the page, it is mentioned in the rules. Overall, pretty amazing game!
Interesting concept. Although the game is modern looking, it reminds me of the old arcade games like Defender and Robotron where saving humans used to be a primary goal. Not a lot of games do this, specially in platformers. Also, nice art, although color combination could have been made better. Gameplay is also smooth enough. Good work overall.
