Nice idea . As you told , you need to develop the game more than now but there's potential in it.

The idea is really good and I think well executed for a first game jam!

Nice idea.

I really love the idea, and the graphic that you chose are on point, although they can be polished.

Still, at this stage the game does not offer much, I could stay in the center of the map with relative ease for a long time. You could expand this both in the mechanics and in the maps, looking forward to this!

Great idea! I think this has a ton of potential but the jam version doesn't execute very well. I found myself having the easiest time ignoring the sidebar and just reacting to stay in the middle I scored over 11,000 points without a problem. Also the difficulty never changes. Polish this up and bring out the full potential of this idea. I'd love to see it!

Very nice idea, but I think it´s missing something. I found that just trying to move towards the center would keep me alive without having to see the incoming directions. Maybe you could do something like having the player react to short waves of inputs in a few seconds. For example, show "UP UP RIGHT DOWN" and the player has to give his inputs before the bubbles reach the top, or something like that. You could even add coloured text that altered the meaning, or draw the text upside down or...This is such a  great idea I can see it expanding in many different ways, you did a great job!

Thank you so much for your kind words and ideas!  I like your ideas with the text -- I wouldn't have thought of it myself, but it's something that would keep players on their toes, and it would introduce a little more "anarchy" to keep the game fresh for longer while still sticking to its core theme.  I'm definitely interested in exploring it further!

This game is pretty short and simple, but I enjoyed trying it out! It was fun.
It reminds me a lot of "Twitch plays"

That's a cool idea! This is not anarchy for me. It's a drunk character (my old roommate) tries not to fall into the potholes on the road haha(yes, he was just like this one xD)

Nice Idea with the inputs and maybe you can use the inputs from the player, record them to the stream and move the player when it hits the top. just an idea. :)

Developer(+1)

That's a great idea!  It would make the player more equal to the rest of the inputs in the stream, making the full stream more important for planning, and making surprise inputs from the stream more challenging to deal with.  It would probably also more closely resemble Twitch Plays Pokemon, where this game got its inspiration.  I'll definitely try it out if/when I continue working on the game.  Thank you so much for your feedback!

keeping an idiot character from wandering into mines...The idea is good !

It's not too hard once you realize you just have to keep him in one of the corners

Nitpick : The teleports are a bit jarring, maybe try some tweening  ?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!  My game is definitely lacking polish in its current state, but tweening the character's movement would be a great way to make it look nicer and intuitive to play.  I'll keep that in mind for future projects!

I think this is a really neat mechanic that I would love seeing turned into a fully game.
