- A survival game that revolves around a close community was a really great take on the theme. Using board game style mechanics was also something that could have been a wonderful vehicle for some impactful storytelling. Unfortunately, it seems things didn't really pull together over the jam (which largely seems to be a case of the project's scope being way too ambitious, and game design maybe not being well aligned with story telling goals). I think you pulled off an impressive amount of wins with this project. That said it seems like the game's core mechanics weren't fully fleshed out, making for an experience that fell short of it's potential. With a different approach, I think this kind of thing could have worked incredibly well. Rather than constantly circling the board, playing towards a clear end goal would have shifted things from feeling like an aimless loop, to a shared quest towards a satisfying ending. Similarly, the choices and consequences presented for each event could have been a lot more impactful with some shaking up. High fives for shooting for the stars with this one, and for having such a unique entry within the jam!

Enjoyed playing the game. Visuals is awesome! Didn't exactly know how to use items in the game. Maybe I missed something. But cool concept!
Nope, I didnt have time to actually make them usable, the idea is that when I add combat youll be able to use them or for when you need to cook, etc...
The visuals feel polished and clean. It's a captivating looking world and the concept and potential of 'what could happen next' in the game keeps me playing!
I can feel that maybe there wasn't enough time for some of the deeper mechanics. There maybe should have been a greater risk and reward system to really highlight the theme of trust and betrayal.
Agreed for sure. I wanted to do alot more but just couldnt find time. The idea was to have a combat scene with wild animals or a person if you choose to attack them, but didnt get to it.
Great concept, with a really solid mechanics foundation. Good narrative setting and good audio and visuals. This definitely needed some form of win/loss condition though.
Thanks! And agreed! I planned to do combat, had about half of it done, but ran out of time. If I ever finish it itll have combat and an actual use for the inventory haha. I tried to do too much lol.
Such a cool set up! Would love to see this developed further!
Thanks! Could be a real game with some (lots of) work XD
I definitely need to learn to scope better, trying to make a dice based RPG with winding stories and multiple statistic based systems for vitals, group stats, inventory and combat?
Very silly! I hope you all enjoy it anyway!
I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to due to some personal issues this week, but I'm proud of it non the less!
