Nice graphics and world you created. I had a bit of fun searching around i eventually found the cow and got the power to smell by pressing e button. Guessing you do this when you head into forest unfortunately it got dark when i went to go to forest then i think i glitched it out as the building went into the sky and it went Inception style on me. Was pretty trippy with the freaky white fog then i fell of map lol!

But seriously nice level layout and buildings you could go into even liked the towns people etc. Just seems to have some bugs to be ironed out. Unfortunately didn't see until after playing that you had a newer version will have to check out the stream riuthamus does tomorrow.

I apologize for the buggy experience you had with the game. I'm not entirely sure how the fog issue or the falling out of the map bug occurred.

However, I’ve created a new build that I’ve shared with Riuthamus, which addresses most of these bugs.

new build alert:

Hi, all this is a link for a new build, with improved several features.

fixed issues in new build

  • jittery camera
  • unable to find Paul -> added world marker system
  • improved dog character animations
  • improved the NPC character animations
  • added dialogues
  • locked the area, where the story is not happening

How to start the story:

  • In the farm where you start, there should be some animals inside the fenced area
  • a cow would have a floating cloud over it
  • basically that's the dialogues cloud
  • and way to start the story

will be fixed in next build:

  • buggy main menu
  • loud music in main menu
  • controls menu

I played your game live (Click here to see your game played live). Despite giving it several attempts, I got lost and could not find Paul. I liked the graphics and the use of the sound. I think the environment was solid and was well placed and I even liked that there were shops and stuff you could visit. I think my inability to find Paul hindered things drastically.

About the gameplay: I realized finding Paul can be bit tricky, thanks for mentioning it. So I have taken up on your feedback and created this new build, that has a World marker system. If you would like to play that version, I am sharing it here on the drive link.

Uhh nice. i like the graphics. But realizing that I am a dog myself was the most surprising part for me. overall, good job, loved it!!

Just gave this a play, you got some good stuff in there.  The environment has lots of detail and the dog controller and camera work well.  

I searched all over but unfortunately, I couldn't find Paul.  The first character I found was Muriel the cow, then a bit later the FBI characters who triggered the forest objective.  I found the cups which lead to the bushes but couldn't find anything more after that.  I think it would be good to add some floating markers above the things you can interact with, otherwise the player has to try and run into every detail on the map, just in case it triggers something.

Also, maybe change the arrow shaped dialogue button into a regular shaped button.  When I first met the cow, I thought I was stuck.  I was pressing everything on the keyboard and clicking everywhere to move the dialogue on before I accidentally clicked the arrow.  I thought the arrow just meant there was more dialogue to follow.
