Listening to this, the idea of remaking some of these tunes with the sound of the following gen is so obvious and yet I don't think I've ever heard it before! A super cool take which gets me thinking about what else could get the Genesis treatment...
It's weird to hear the rubbery bounciness of FM in Mario tunes but in a good way. I imagine this is what the tracks would have sounded like on Genesis. Good stuff!
These are fun nostalgic pieces. Great work with the arrangements and with production nuances. These feel very true to the original songs, but with a clear and updated sound that is still in the same style. I like the pop that your percussion has too. Chai Kingdom is my favorite!
