I'm not sure...

Really liked the writing on this game, the art was cute too :>

thank you for playing it in these last minutes😂😍 I'm happy to hear that about the art, i'm most worried about that component:)

The ending definitely took me by surprise, but the game, albeit short, was really well made and the art style looks really nice! I can see a lot of improvement compared to your fist games. Wish the story of the poor mermaid was longer or there was a way to save her! Still, great work Abra!

thank you 😊
I thought about different endings, but then it'd make the story less tragic and ambigous - i showed the world from a monster's point of view, and it's a tragedy. But from humans' point of view they just killed a monster... If  there was a way to save Nerris, then it'd mean she's "good". But there are no good and bad guys there...
Also the game is so short because I wanted to be sure to finish it in time, unlike previous jam lol. And spent 1.5 days on it... which is the other extreme:>

Simple and effective. I found the writing to be the highlight here, and it definitely elevates the simplicity of the graphics and gives the protagonist a lot of character in only a little time. Good job!

thank you💙

Hello. Small but decent is a good way to talk about this one.

Spoilers.

Okay not really a spoiler but your characters design is interesting. I like it is is just a little all over the place with her hair. there isnt really that much to say about a 3 min game. you cant really do much with that time but I would still like to know her name for starters.  I do like the ending though. No not the part were she died but the newspapers. It made it look like there might be more to this. The one saying that the last siren was killed was the one that I still remember because that was a strong line.

Final thoughts are that this was a game that wasnt made to be a whole big story. Its only 3 mins and telling a story in that time is just hard if not impossible. But it was one of the better ones in this game jam funny enough so keep at it.

thank you, i'm glad you liked it<3
Nerris' name is mentioned on the game page. Maybe i should make a name window, but was too lazy😅
