- Just need to be a little faster on the chase sequences. They felt like they dragged on a bit too much. Otherwise? Great, cute game. Loved the art

That was really fun, I really enjoyed your custom art. It felt like a super hero comic book and the twist on who the two characters were made me laugh. I enjoyed the 3 levels to the minigames. From game design perspective each level introduced a bit more to the mechanics and I thought that was a great way to introduce us to things. The chase scenes and action was very fun! : ) It was more on the easy side for me, but that's better then it being too hard. A short game, but done very well. I enjoyed your game. : )
Another awesome work of art by Nowis! The art is ON POINT and the writing is adorably campy. I felt like the chases were too easy (though I did find the last one tricky since you don't know when the enemy will move) and the first one seems a bit long, but the overall presentation is unique and enjoyable. You rock!
This game was fun, and down right hilarious! I enjoyed it a lot. Good luck with the jam.
We meet again, Nowis-337! Last time we met, it was for your giant robot simulator! And you're back at it with another tokusatsu-inspired game! And again, I liked it. The custom artworks are great, the sound design is nice and the gameplay is simple yet effective. But like last time, there is a couple things I'd like to point out.
- At the beginning, I was wondering why I didn't had the control of my character. I was looking for a way to move it to no avail as I saw a clear obstacle coming my way. That's only after I realized this was actually a scripted tutorial, but to be honest, at first, it really confused me to not be able to move my character.
- What is really too bad though is that the feeling of speed is clearly lacking during the chase scene. It breaks my idea of the hero going at full speed to chase to chase down the villain. It's to a point I have fun imagining them stopping at every red lights and respect the road signs during the chase. XD
Outside of that, I don't see much more to say, you did a great work! Magnum Rider Z was short and sweet! Best of luck for this game jam! ^^
Thanks for the feedback, they're always insightful!
Yeah I agree the 'tutorial' bit at the beginning could do with some differentiation - I had the idea of maybe cinematic black bars, but didn't have time to implement in the mad rush to finish it on time :P
Something I wanted to do in hindsight is to make the car chase stage is to have the background scroll faster and have the car obstacles look more like moving traffic rather than stationary as they are currently set up to give a faster sense of speed.
Definitely a few good points to think about!
You're welcome! I'm glad you find my review insightful! ^^
I wish you good continuation!
Seems there there is a bug when using the arrow keys during the auto-run event at the beginning of the chase scenes before Reid enters can let him run off the designated road during the level (what a cheater!) - I'll have to fix it later after the jam.
Short and Sweet. Very cool art! Wish it was a bit more challenging, but a really interesting gameplay loop for RPGmaker!
Thanks! It is on the easier side, if your RNG is good, you can stand on the one spot and survive the first 2 levels :P
This is a must play for the whole community. It's really well done, but mainly because it's short, full of character, and the big punchline is just brilliant.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Alright!! Dat twist at the end! I dig that! xD <3 This was amazingly done, and I remember your Harold game jam entry which I loved too! :D Great job on the super cool artworks! The gameplay mechanic was super creative and I truly enjoyed it! ^_^ Really gives that "epic super hero moment" feel all the time, and I'm all for it! :D Amazing job, Nowis-337! ^^
Thanks! It was a fun silly game for me to make!
