Great idea. But a bit confused at the start.
Especially when the click and drag felt kinda delayed and need to wait.
Reminds me of Tentacle Wars, which was a favourite game of mine growing up so I'm inclined to like this genre of game. I really liked this game, though an idea I had while playing that could improve it is the ability to add in a supply route that would constantly build up the forces of a target fortress.
That was the idea I was going for, I really enjoyed that game too.
The AI can absolutely be improved. I was starting to overthink the whole AI and I have a bunch of useless checks in it now but if I keep working on it, it can become good I think. I've finished a more polished one (visually that is) which I'll put up once the rating is over.
Best advice I could probably give is to focus on simplifying your AI as much as possible, or at least break it up into components that have a single responsibility and compose it together in a Blueprint. If there are a bunch of useless or redundant checks then this would probably help resolve it.

The proposal is very good, but it took me a long time to figure out what I should do (even with the tip), I think this could be resolved by adding some positive feedback: sounds and visual effects.
You're right, I was having issues with trying to get something working to give an indication of which "Town" was selected and which one you're going to send units too. I've sorted it all out now and fixed a few bugs but I don't think we're able to upload our fixes which is fine, it'll just be in the final product. Thanks for the feed back.
I think it will look very good with the polishes. When the updates are unlocked at the end of the jam, remind me to play the finished version.
I love the fact that the trees wiggles! I found out that the ennemies could have negative health, so it makes the game impossible. Great game !
Yea I came across it once, instead of removing health from your town it added it instead 😂. I need to figure out where I went wrong with that but it should be easy to find.
This game could be a lot of fun with further development! I think the art style is an acquired taste, but would work for some people. Found it funny that the trees wiggled. (the whole thing) It would be helpful to clarify a bit on what to do. Figured it out, but took a minute, even with the main menu hint. Good job!
I was trying to figure out how to make the trees a little less static, I should have made the tree into 2 materials instead of just using 1 material and a UV unwrap. The "instructions" are always a last minute rush for me, sorry it was a little hard to figure it out. Thanks for play testing it! Art is not my strong suit, probably my worst skill.
Hey, don't worry about art so much. It's so subjective that I'm sure someone else will absolutely love it. Focus more on the mechanics and building upon that and you will build something special. Good idea on the trees! As far as the instructions, maybe contextual hints in game would help, just to give some feedback and direction without laying it all out, you know?
I was trying to make like a "squish" effect when you select your town so you know you've selected it but it just didn't look correct and then I was trying "depth stencils" but then that didn't work either for some reason so I skipped the idea and I'll add to my "final" product once I'm happy with where it sits.
