I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this, I'm always a fan of stealthy type games and this nailed the monster theme. The grab while crawling felt a bit inconsistent at times, I think if it was triggered by an input with some feedback when you're close enough could help that. I liked the level design but it feels a bit large for how fast the monster could traverse, a leap when you jump while crawling would be helpful.

Good job! The monster is really creepy and imposing. I almost killed all the guys but in the end I could not sneak up on them anymore. Nice touch with the menu animation. Really creepy!

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it. :)

I really liked the proposal (I felt like a predator), there could have been more elements in the scenario to compose the challenge, such as buildings to retreat from an attack, trees, etc.

Yeah, Predator was one of the inspirations for the WendiGO design. I believe you are correct about the game not being so challenging, as I was concerned that it may be too difficult for players, but thanks for the ideas and the feedback.

Being a WendiGO was fun! I think the people could be a bit stronger, but if you were going for an unstoppable killing machine, I think it fits well enough. It would have been nice to have some environmental interaction like swimming in the lake or breaking into the cabin. I really enjoyed skewering the AI (that was a highlight, for sure!) Food for thought for further development!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words. We thought about making the enemies more challenging, but with a 10-foot wendigo smacking you, we felt it better to make him an unstoppable killing machine. We did scope the game to be bigger, but due to time constraints, we shortened it to have only the combat element. We did implement stealth with shadows, but we could not make it into the final version.

Thank you for your feedback.
