It was too dark, even with the flashlight and the flashlight didn't move :( Maybe it was just me having the issue but found it impossible tbh
Are you sure that you had your camera up, the flashlight was build with camera. If you had this bug even with camera we will imidiatly look at this and repair it in postgamejam update, please reply if it happened with camera and thanks for feedback
So I pressed F to turn on the flashlight and a light appeared on the wall but it wasn't very powerful and didn't move with the character.
OH i see what you did you must have your camera up (Q) in order to make flashlight even work, as flashlight is attached to camera
Did this fixed your problem, if yes and dont mind can you tell us what was good and what to change, we would be REALLY greatful
Yea it fixed the light issue - thanks! I still had a really hard time though unfortunately - again it might just be me but if you can interact with something a widget popping up to tell you what to press would be massively useful (eg. [F]) - I think that and maybe making it slightly easier at the start would be great.
I really like the effect of seeing what is in front of you in the camera viewfinder though, very cool effect!
Thank you very much for your feedback and rating, after reviewing periord we will update game more, thanks for feedback again :*
This was really good. You really captured the scary horror atmosphere. I don't think I escaped though, got the Congrats screen but before I reached the door there was a scary dude in front of me so behind the scenes I think I got slaughtered. hhahaha
Great game, well done
Its actually a monster trying to catch you, but in the final phase, Entity seeps into the present, which is why it glitches, and he's not able to kill you
Enjoyed this a lot. Not sure if I was supposed to see a guy at the end but I didn't. This must have been a lot of work! The camera was a neat gameplay element.
One of my favorites of the jam. It scared the absolute hell out of me seeing that guy in the corner the first time, and when he appeared next to me breathing was terrifying. It made me take my headphones off cause I was worried about a jumpscare. I hope you guys fix the boss bugs once the jam is over so I can have another go at it.
Very well done! The camera and normal view differences are great! I managed to find my way out :D Great job!
That's grat to hear! <3
Like the idea a lot, the camera adds a lot and of depth to the atmosphere. That said I wish the sanity meter wasn't that slow to recharge since it padded the game time just looking around for the keys. Good job!
Thanks a lot man! ^_^
Alright, that's an insane amount of custom meshes (if you made them yourself) to do in 3 days, props to you!
Now, unfortunately I will talk about the bad things.
Was Lumen really necessary? It really hits on the performance.
I think the camera image became offset at some point, so I couldn't align myself properly to pick up the last key.
I didn't understand what does the bar on the right do, it was going up and down at random moment. I thought it's going down when I look at something disturbing, but I don't think that's the case anymore, because I was looking at meat at some point and it was holding at the top.
how to fix Lumen? (to better performance)
I don't know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just turned it off in my game
Lumen is a very performance heavy tech and works best on high end machines. It really likes ray tracing. And my laptop can't generate Distance Fields properly, so it creates a very bad ghosting effect. There was a similar effect in your game, so I suspect they weren't generated in your game either, but I don't know if it's my laptop's or your machine's problem.
the bar is your sanity, and you are 100%, but it's quite buggy
