If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
Most of the "sound effects" were created from scratch. Also, it contains voice acting if it counts?
Any additional information for voters?
Choices are mostly directional, but *sometimes* they have consequences.

Frankly I'm just happy you were able to make something this year, even if you had to pull an all-nighter to do it!
I like the setup of a VN playing like an old Ultima game or text adventure, and the various paths that could occur in the game were surprisingly varied lol. I'm just happy I played as a mage so I could get home!
As always the voice acting is stellar! I especially like the voiced portal transitions and sound effects.
I also really appreciate the game being so short, I know you didn't have time for much else but in a big jam like this years it's nice to have something short but sweet.
I would've loved to have seen the mech game, but IRL issues can easily screw things up so its perfectly understandable. As for things that could improve this game I mean maybe some music, but beyond that any other changes would've ballooned development time too much.
Excellent work!
Thanks for playing! Glad it was enjoyable despite the short length!
Also yeah, playing the Mage is one of the most useful classes, but Thief as well as you can finish a lot quicker since you can skip finding keys haha (and for non-mages, there is a way to still make it out if you're nice to a certain fluffball lol).
I would've loved to make the mech game too, I do have the script still so I'll just have to make that game another time. This was a fun experiment I'd love to do again for a more serious experience and better graphics, and actually layer sprites over background images as I was really inefficient here haha.
Yeah, I would have loved to add music beyond the menu but I wa just so tired I was like screw it, lots of super old cRPGs had no music anyway xD
Love this so much!
I honestly think this game is a great example of how much you can do in a short space of time! I really liked all the homemade sound effects and crude but effective (and hilarious) visuals! Voice acting was great as always, and as I've said a few times, with 86 games to get through this year, playing a fairly short, sweet game is always a blessing!
So glad you got to submit something this year 😍 Thanks for taking part!
Always an honor to see a review from the jam leader himself! Glad you enjoyed it despite the short length, even finding it more of a blessing rather than a hindrance!
The game is fun and simple. Good Work!
Thanks! ^^
It's not the mecha game, but I definitely get how real life can throw a wrench into things. This is very, very simplistic in both gameplay and graphics, but there's a certain charm to it. It feels kinda like a random Flash game, maybe one made in class instead of schoolwork. I think the only thing I can really say I wish it had that wouldn't imply building a much bigger, more complex game is music.
Thanks for your review! I wish I had added more music too, but by that point I was too tired to find anything lol. I almost didn't even put menu music. Though perhaps post-jam I could add a little more music.
Pretty charming game despite the simple visuals!
Thank you! One thing about SBIG is it allows you to experiment, and making a "dungeon crawler" in Ren'Py was a fun thing to experiment with, probably a concept I'd love to do for a serious game someday.
