If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
Added actual SFX for the 1st time ever. And its probably excessive. (Idk we literally are publishing this last min)
Any additional information for voters?
We will be working on this game post jam.

I'm happy to see you made another driving game for SBIG, I loved box kar racing and though it was unfinished I found the sequel kinda charming in a sort of Y2K-era screensaver way.
The car physics were funny, and the other drivers being able to just ram into you was fun. Also congrats on adding sound effects for the first time!
But I do fully agree with this not feeling like a game, and just being a sort of test bed for mechanics. And tbh mine almost ended up being the same if I wasn't able to submit late lol. But the other drivers are just stuck in level geometry, and the level itself makes it hard to drive around and do tricks too wildly. And while the car movement feels fine, the camera is still a bit too wonky. An extra suggestion is to have the cursor locked on the screen so it sin't distracting or allow the player to accidentally click offscreen.
My honest recommendation for the next SBIG game would be something like a destruction derby or a Carmageddon clone. Like take the basic idea of running into randomly wandering NPCs, and give the player and the NPC's a health bar, and have progression based on how much destruction/death the player causes. And you can just make the level a circular, enclosed arena with obstacles scattered around for some physics fun. Just my 2 cents!
For what little is there though I enjoyed it! Good work and congrats on submitting!
Thank you for your response! The original idea was a game akin to Flatout, Burnout and Blur combined but due to time and the main coder having a job it was never fully realised. But in the future we will work on making this game the best it can be!
This was a lot of fun! The other cars were quite aggressive 😮 The driving physics were fun to play and the backwards acceleration of the cars gave me major Big Rigs vibes 😂
Well done on submitting!
Thank you, one of my best works thus far!
The driving physics really aren't bad, though the camera controls are janky and the graphics are definitely SBIG fare. There doesn't seem to really be a game here, though- it feels like a mechanics test. I can drive around and run into stuff, but there are no objectives as far as I can tell.
While the sound effects are pretty comprehensive, it doesn't really feel excessive to me.
Shame about all of that. We did have alot more we wanted to do but due to my coder having a job and the time restraints we couldnt make the game we really wanted to make. But we will be working on this game in the future, dont you worry about that
Amazing Game!
The greatest racing game of 2024 you might say?
I drove through the forest and escaped the map with my sick car that takes up both lanes on the road. Amazing game.
Hi, do the jam build files work for windows? (its not tagged for any platform)
Shoot, sorry about that, yes they do. Gonna sort that out rn
5/5 would recommend for people that just recently lost their ability to drive because of for unforeseen consequences (cough cough ... DUI) very fun game, helped me relive the last moments i actually had left of driving.
