Wow! What an original and cool idea! Great work and it looks fantastic! Hoping you'll continue developing this, I could totally see it work in a bigger setting! :D

My only issue with it was that even though I loved it from the start, it began to feel very slow a few rounds in.

Great game! very original & unique, I felt like there was a bit too much on the screen at once but overall really good.

One of the most original entries I've played so far, very interesting. Apart from a generic sound design, I think that my only concern with the game is the UI: it feels a bit too bloated to me, you could have went for something much more elegant and coincise. Despite this, I really enjoyed playing it, thanks also to the amount of different items that you managed to create

Cool concept, very buggy tho, selecting warrior then going to the next round without switching lanes makes them go somewhere.

I hope you're going to make something bigger with this and develop it further after Jam.

really cool concept, I think there needs to be a mechanic where you lose the game or lose castle health or something cause if one of my warriors dies and a goblin get through it just dissappears and I didn't get punished at all for not guarding one of the lanes. and does armor just increase health or does it block damage? hard to plan if I don't know how much damage I can block. which i feel like is a huge part in this game choosing the best lane order.

There is actually a loose Mechanic. U might had an Bug, usually when a Warrior is Dead on a Lane the Damage goes on the Castle if its not Defended. Once the Castle Defense drops on Zero or below the Game should End.

I just saw that the gold and the rounds are swapped in the Game Over Panel. But the Game Over should normally happen when you can't defend a lane anymore. I'm sorry you experienced a bug, I'll definitely take a look to see what could be causing it.

Your damage is irrelevant, you just need enough life and, or shield to survive an enemy's attack. Basically you just block an attack and either the hero survives or dies. But thanks for pointing out that it's unclear. I'd like to revise some parts of the UI and the playfield to make things clearer.

The lane switching is a cool concept for a game! Music and graphics and sfx are all really nice too, great submission :) Btw, what's the blue button in the bottom right do?

Developer

Its for Buying additional Castle Defense at a price of 100 Gold.

I love the graphics! The type of game isn't really my thing (cards and stat min/maxing or whatever) but it was really well done! Could use a better tutorial. I loved the dissolve effect you have on the cards! Really cool! Well done!

The Heros are from Fantasy Heroes: 4-Directional Character Editor made by Hippo. I started lately to work a lot with this Asset even its already in my Library for Years.  And it turns out really cool. Theres so much variation that can be done with it.

Thanks for playing

I'll check it out! Thanks!

The concept is cool but I always seem to get a bug where the cards just wander off-screen.

see in this image the cards are just walking to the left, off-screen.

However, it was a good idea + the music is nice!

Oh, thanks for pointing this out, in the webGL version this Bug happens because of the way i choose to move them.

Theres a new Version of the Game and I pdated the way its getting processed and it should be hopefully no longer happen in the WebGL Version. I also will upload a Version to Download i think.
