Flipping the brick breaker game is a really cool concept! The concept works really well especially for this jam, great job!

Thanks a bunch for the comment! :)

At the start I thought: “How the fuck can I loose this easy game?” but then it started to move fast as hell itself so, nice! looks dope! One suggestion is, it may start faster than now so it’s funnier since the very start. Nice job!

Developer

I agree that it starts potentially too easy, but at the same time, I'd rather someone less experienced/more casual to be able to  learn to play the game with it being a bit too easy for the first 30 seconds, than losing in the first 10-15 seconds 10+ times in a row then giving up and writing "game sucks, too hard".

Ideally I'd have a difficulty mode selection that would adjust the block placement time, the starting ball speed, and the score multiplier.

The idea of reverse the brick breaker game is really cool! And the difficulty ramp up a lot in the late game, really fun.

Developer

Thank you!

Really cool idea here. This game honestly feels like it's ready to ship. Great job!

Developer

Thank you very much! I'm glad you feel that way, I tried to make it as polished as I could in the time I spent on it (including getting it optimized for and running on mobile).

Great idea! I was like Woah! when I saw the breakout concept reversed.

Artwise, the game looks superb! It feels polished and the music goes well with the game!

The gameplay is great too. At first, I built a wall near the planet and thought that's it! I can replace the blocks destroyed by the ball and go as long as I want but, the difficulty increased and it really got me in the end. So I think it's perfect :D

Excellent Job!

Developer

Thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed!

Reverse breakout! Cool spin on a classic game!

loved the idea, but you can cheat if you spam, so maybe increase the time between tile spawning over time, so it gets more difficult

Developer(+1)

It's designed to start off easy, maybe a bit too easy, but once you get past the 200 seconds mark it gets pretty tough to keep up with the ball, trust me. Reducing the time between spawning over time would break the game because you literally would be slowing down as the ball sped up.

Originally (before jam was over) someone suggested that the original time to place was not fun (too slow) so I halved it as well as increased the ball's starting speed.

Really like the hexagon mozaic kind of texture going on looks  super nice, I swear the ball some how boucned around the side last time I played haha anyhow hang on and I'll beat your score.

Nice game! Controls could be a bit more intuitive though.

Developer

Thank you! Controls were designed with just the Left Mouse Button in mind, because I have designed it to be completely compatible with mobile (it runs perfectly on there now as is)!
