I really like the idea of a proactive defense game. Seeking out the enemies was a fun change of pace from a lot of games here. I'd suggest adding a few new enemies and maybe a couple of character upgrades. All in all though it's a really cool concept and you executed it super well!
I liked the change in elevation with the different enemies, it adds nice variation. Difficulty needed more adjusting, but overall it was fun!
Even though its not extremely polished, I like the naiveness of the art style, its has a great cartoon-y feel. The gameplay falls repetitive quite soon though; I'd liked to have some reason to actually move and jump around, since sitting still and shooting was quite much the best tactic. Nonetheless, good job!
I liked the dynamics of having to lead your shots to hit the flying things especially. I also was happy to realize you can hold down the mouse to rapid fire!
It was a bit too easy to be honest. And when I finally just intentionally let enemies get past me I was surprised at how little damage they do to the castle. I lost because of running into the flyers.
This game has potential! Good work on the jam!
EDIT: Also it seems like your leaderboard reset when I entered my score.
