i liked this very much! It was beautifully written, and the art was great too! One way to improve this game would be adding interactivity - more choices that give different outcomes. But in the short time a jam provides i assume that is very hard to do. Also, i had some trouble with the safe. In europe we use dd/mm/yyyy format instead of mm/dd/yyyy, so i was trying a password of the type dmyy instead of mdyy thatvit actually was. Until i realised that i was stuck there, trying out passcodes. Great experience overall!

I really enjoyed the game. The writing and the visuals work really well together to set the stage. I definitely prefer this format over an actual adventuregame command interpreter thing. Sound might've been a bit underutilized -- I would've loved to hear Olivia or the taped seance, for instance, rather than just reading about them. The record player sound is certainly effective though.
I like the images shown for each page of text, makes things more interesting. I feel the game could have benefited a lot from some ambient looping sounds.
Short but nice and moody experience.
I like the visual and auditory atmosphere your game creates to complement the writing. The puzzle was a simple yet fun element, and I appreciated the inclusion of a hint. The one thing I would recommend is giving the player a little more agency, be that more things to interact with or choices that impact the plot. In summary, I really enjoyed your game and hope you make more like it! :)
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. I was planning to add a bit more choice, but I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted each day on it, and time started catching up with me, so I ended up having to make a choice between more interactivity or making sure the central plot was finished. The only major choice I realize in retrospect is really the one in the beginning where you choose which thing in the basement to interact with, and each thing "wakes up" a different haunting.
I do want to make more games like it in the future, and with out a time limit I'll be able to flesh them out :)
