SCREAM JAM 2024 gHost's Choice -
Why not have style and substance? This game is a sci-fi job simulator set on a distant forlorn planet where the player is indentured to get a handle of the miserable telecommunications infrastructure. There is no shortage of atmosphere here and the game illustrates a memorable setting of life on a hostile, fog infested world where inhabitants are barely able to survive. Core gameplay involves transmitting radio signals through an arcane computer system, with some in-depth technical procedures to wrestle with. Of course, whilst the player is attempting to figure out how to make heads and tails of it, there’s a monster ready to interrupt the broadcast.
Thank you for submitting Radio Security to SCREAM JAM 2024, and congratulations on being selected as one of the ten gHost's Choice entries for the jam!
Really good game dude! This game is alike Mike Klubnika's games. Good work!
Thank you. I really took inspiration for the graphics from Mike Klubnika.
man the aesthetics on this one are unreal 💪🎃 nice work!
Thank you. I did my best:)
Good game. I really liked the graphics and atmosphere. The lore is cool, prisoners work at the station. The Kraken is scary and I don't understand how to determine the right frequency. You need to take a portable speaker and select the frequency, but nothing happens at all frequencies. Maybe I'm missing some small detail...
You need to point sensor on Kraken and start changing frequency. When the Kraken starts shaking this is the right frequency. Then use speaker pointed on kraken to scare them away. By the way thank you for playing my game ;)
Oh so that's how it works, thanks. I'll try playing again later.
Really love the atmosphere and art, the character design is really cool too !
The game loop work well and funnily enouth is a bit similar to my own scream jam game lol.
Also loved the bit of narration on the notes and the environnement (even if i coudn't see the ending sadly).
I dont know if the last day is bugged or hard but i keep losing really fast even as their is no more tentacles on the towers.
Also a small bug i found is it appear that if a tower spawn on a speaker already on the good frequency, you still need to manualy clic on the good frequency so it can work.
Thank you for your review. The last day is very hard, so it is not a bug. Thank you for playing my game.
the art and post processing looks great! the fog really helps to capture the silhouette of important things. the game was also pretty fun. i did wonder why the guy wouldn't bring the small cardboard box full of fuses into the building with him, but it wasn't totally immersion breaking or anything. i was not able to finish the second day, it felt like i had to spend all my time on the tentacles, but it was still fun. great job on this overall!
Thank you so much :)
The 3D art and set dressing was just incredible god damn. The core game loop was pretty cool as well, surprised to see not many people have played this yet
Thank you! :)
