GateSwapper is an addictive puzzle game that brilliantly ramps up the challenge! The integration of tutorial elements into gameplay is genius, easing players into the mechanics seamlessly. The collectibles manipulating lasers add a clever layer of complexity. While the background clashed with the art, the game's simplicity shone through. The encouragement on the end-game page was motivating, pushing me to improve.

Constructive feedback includes expanding levels and fixing minor glitches like barriers spawning on players. The puzzles were engaging, urging me to strive for better scores. The starter level was a great introduction, though the text could better match the pixel art style.

Overall, the challenging puzzles and the clever use of tutorials make GateSwapper a gem. Enhancements like more levels and graphical adjustments could elevate this already entertaining game!

I really liked how it started simple, but the difficulty ramped up pretty fast as you played. I like the mechanics of the collectables being the same as the objects that manipulated the lasers, it added an interesting level of difficulty. I didn't understand the beginning page was part of the gameplay so I was confused at first, but I did think that was a very unique way to help the player understand. I also felt that the background and the art clashed a little. Otherwise, this was really fun and creative.

Positive feedback:

  • Love how you integrated a tutorial on the start page.
  • Instructions were very simple and clear.
  • I love the end-game page. Great feedback and encouragement to do better. Very motivating tactic!
  • I really like the graphics too. Very simple but perfect for the game!
  • It was very challenging! Took me a while to figure out that last level.

Constructive feedback

  • I don't have a ton of feedback, cause I really like this game. I think just future iterations, having more levels and more challenges would be a great addition.

This is a great concept and execution of a game! The comment at the end about how a score of 330 was possible inspired me to play again. My only issue was that in level 2 a light barrier spawned on top of me and I was able to simply walk through it. I would love to see this expanded upon. Well done!

This was a challenging but fun game. The puzzles were actually pretty engaging made me strive to do better every time I had to reset a level. I picked up on how to play game very easily with the starter level you included which I think is a good idea for all games to have. I guess the only thing I can gripe at is that the text doesn't mesh with the pixel art feel of your game. Great job though!

I liked this game. The puzzles are decently challenging and there is replay ability by trying to get the perfect 330 score. There are a few glitch's where you can sometimes go through doors that are closed but overall the levels are fun, challenging and you can actually fail them which requires you to think about the right moves.

I really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of the game and the mini-tutorial made at the start of the game. It was nice to have the tutorial worked into a level instead of just having a paragraph, and I was able to figure out how and why the different color doors spawned. Having the restart button was also nice addition so I could easily restart without refreshing the page because I got stuck quite a few times on the later levels.

This game is super fun! I found the puzzles highly entertaining and amusing, and I feel that despite the simplicity of the mechanic itself the game is fun. I also really like the graphics, but I do wish the character turned left and right.
