One Life game I like how you made the levels design and how you made the enemy bullets track the player down pretty well. The thing that could be improved is the animation for the player when walking left or right still has the same animation player I think changing that would help a lot. Another is when the player touches the wall even a little the character model flips over. I do like the fact that you did a top-down game defiantly different to see.
The idea of this game is simple but very fun and I think with more polish it could be a very replayable game. One of the bugs I encountered was where the player would sometimes either phase through a wall or start spinning after colliding with it, which made me have to restart the game. The other issue wasn't game breaking, but if you hold down horizontal and vertical inputs at the same time, the player's speed combines those values, (I assume) letting you move faster than intended. Despite being a bug, it was hard to aim where you wanted to go while moving diagonally, but as a reward you get that extra speed, which was sort of challenging and fun even if unintentional. I think the patterns and layouts were interesting and gave some nice challenges.
Nice work! I like that you included some of the extra animations on the character, I thought the kick was hilarious. I think the biggest thing that could be improved on your game is the movement system. The movement tends to veer off from where I input it, and it's additionally hard to determine the direction the character is moving without an indication. Have a great summer!
I like the overall style of the game but there are a lot of movement inconsistencies with the player only being able to walk forward. The collisions with the turrets projectiles was a bit odd as they didn't get destroyed or removed immediately and would just stick to the player. Level three seemed genuinely impossible and I'm really not sure how I would even go about completing it. Overall I think if you just take a little time to polish the mechanics of the game and add directional input animations for the player it could feel like a really good game.
The first thing I will mention is about the annoying glitch you were trying to solve but I believe if you freeze the rotation of the rigid body on your player it may stop the glitch that happens when you run into the wall. Also, your panels are smaller than the screen, something I do to easily fix this is to change the scale of the panels to 1.1 so that they go past the canvas to ensure there are no weird outlines. The tracking bullets were also quite annoying especially when some of the pickups were very close to the turrets. I think these turrets would have been a lot better for the game without the tracking.
