- As a first game jam and a first pygame this is really great. The only thing that will make you better is more practice. Do not feel bad when you think its bad, as long as you learn something from the process you are successful. Creativity was nice. I liked the idea of going to bed to end levels/ The platforming was fine, you can develop that skill with more practice. Gameplay was ok. The character was way to fast in movement and jump height. Go find documentation on how people have made character controllers and look into how they manage jumping and movement. Theme interpretation was a little amiss for me. I liked the darkness as being your timer, but there was no real fighting things off. Polish was also ok. Look into how other people have made menus to help the flow. Also look into how screen size is managed in pygame. Unfortunately I cant help you with pygame, but Im sure if you google enough or look on youtube you should find some resources.

Good game concept and polished gameplay. Well done!
thanks for the comment
A nice game and mostly well done. I found the controls to be too sensitive but the atmosphere of the game was very fun :)
thanks for the comment, i will make a better movement system next time
For a first game, this is really cool. I like the concept with the storyline, and art is great, and the level design is pretty good as well. If you'd like some tips, I found that the movement was very sensitive, so you could consider dialing it back, depending on how hard you want the game to be. Also, making it go to something like a win screen when you finish instead of just repeating the last level would have been nice (I replayed the last level until I did it without hitting the ghost just in case that was why I wasn't progressing), but I had fun with this! Great job, and good luck with future games!
thanks for the advices, I will apply them for next game jams
Ain't gonna catch me ghost boi! Was fun :)

looks nice, and i like the darkness circle representing your time remaining. player moves way too fast though
Congrats on your first game jam submission. What did you use to make the game?
