Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes even a short story can touch on those feelings we all recognize, and it means a lot that you took the time to experience it. Really appreciate your kind words!”

I had a feeling it was something like that and I totally respect your efforts in trying to produce that effect.

Its one of those ideas you get and think "how hard could it possible be?"

Thank you so much—I’m really glad the story struck a chord with you. Sometimes the hardest truths are the ones we all quietly share, but facing them together makes them a little lighter. I appreciate you playing and connecting with it!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful words! I’m glad the candle’s glow resonated with you—it’s a small light, but sometimes that’s all we need to find comfort and feel a little less alone. I’m really happy you enjoyed the experience and felt that warmth in the story. Thank you for playing!

The game nails the basics, and the art and music are really well done, adding a lot to the overall enjoyment. It’s a straightforward experience, but the quality of the visuals and audio makes it stand out. Great job!

As fernandolv3 said: fun game with a classic twist!

It brings a familiar charm while adding just enough unique elements to keep things fresh and engaging. It's a fun experience that feels both nostalgic and new—well done!

The story in this game is fantastic, and the concept of playing as fire is really unique and engaging! I enjoyed the experience, though I did find the goal a bit unclear at times. Clarifying the objectives would definitely help players immerse themselves even more. Overall, it's a creative and memorable take!

Despite some small hiccups, it’s an enjoyable and well-thought-out game. The biggest problem for me was trying to work out how and why the flashlight would work (or not) at times.

This is a pretty cool little concept! The shader effect where the darkness reaches out to grab you is super creative and adds a lot of tension to the gameplay. It's such a neat touch that really elevates the experience. Overall, a solid entry that feels both unique and polished—great job!

I had a blast playing this game! :) Sprinting and running through the level was genuinely fun and kept me hooked. It’s a bit of a shame that the browser version doesn’t work, but the experience was still worth it. Overall, it’s a game that’s easy to jump into and enjoy—hopefully, a fixed browser version will be possible in the future!

Playing this jam game was a real treat! The art and sound design really stand out, creating a strong atmosphere that pulls you in from the very start. I also appreciated that the challenge level felt just right—difficult enough to keep me engaged but never too frustrating. Overall, it's clear a lot of care went into crafting both the visuals and the audio, which made for a memorable experience. This game strikes a great balance :)

Not the easiest game to get into but there is something there you can work on.

A nice game and mostly well done. I found the controls to be too sensitive but the atmosphere of the game was very fun :)

welllll gotta give points for the theme but I have to concur with the others, this was too dark

thats how I found the second square with that leap of faith :D

Interesting use of RPG Maker :) A great time was had :) Combat was a little tough but being familiar with how RPG Maker works helped me there.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the experience. Knowing the story and atmosphere connected with you in a meaningful way means a lot. Sometimes, it’s those shared, relatable moments that remind us we’re not alone—even in the dark. Thank you for taking the time to experience it, and for your kind words!

Ok that was a very neat control system! Very responsive. I could definitely see this being a "bus trip" game with the whole bus trying to beat their highest scores.

Very nice job and well done!

It took longer than I'd like to understand what was going on and what was needed. Once I did the game was a good time. I'd suggest for future jams to try to make things a little more obvious.

Level design was great and the music suited the environment well :)

I did enjoy my time here with the game. I didnt mind the jumping mechanic too much. My issue was more that after the wall jump onto the first square I couldnt see where to go so I jumped randomly in a "leap of faith" type thing.

All in all it was a good time! nice work!

Thank you so much for sharing that—it means a lot to know the story resonated with you. It’s true, sometimes facing our own shadows feels impossible alone, but a little support can make all the difference. I’m really glad you felt that connection, and I hope it reminds you and those that play this game, that there’s always someone ready to help light the way. Just as you said, we don’t have to face the dark alone. There will always be someone willing to help you fight the dark.

Thank you! I really wanted to do something different with the theme. Having emerged recently from a dark mental state myself this was the first style that came to mind and I ran with it.

I had a great time playing with the contrast and brightness settings to get what I wanted - not to mention playing with the colour mix to make sure those changes had the proper effect.

I will be playing everyone's game starting tomorrow morning. Yours will be the first on the list!

I hope you gave this one a go :) its only a few minutes long!

Thanks for your review :) Those were definitely on my radar to add in but a few hours before deadline my brain finally decided it had enough. I had spent the last few hours squashing a game breaking bug and I was mentally exhausted I'm afraid!
