Nice idea! I like how it actually gives you a plausible setting and idea on how the game would work irl!
Fun! Pretty much just the same as everyone else said. The ice theme is really nice and it is fun flinging upwards to the top
The controls definitely need improvement. When I fail to move somewhere I feel like it's the game's fault and not mine. My fingers hurt from spamming DIR all the time, and my psyche from watching it not work most of the time.
The visuals and music are pretty good though. It is also definitely a Foddian :)

I actually really love the pickaxe movement mechanics, though I think it would help the player to know a little more how HOLD UP+DIR and DIR are distinct, since it took me like 10 minutes to realize how to get across the first ledge, but once I figured it out, it was really fun!
