A very unique movement mechanic and I really like the way the cooldown is visualized.
It was just a little too difficult for me, so I didn't finish it^^

Developer

Glad to hear that the cooldown visualization doesn't suck as much as I feared :)

Cool idea, nice implementation. I was confused for a while but when I looked closer, I got it immediately

Thank you for the feedback :)

Nice game! Feels quite on theme, although I haven't gotten past the middle platforms yet (and was kind of stuck as of where to go at a point in the longer path on the right, after jumping on the 3 or 4 mushrooms). Definitely infuriating in a good way, despite feeling a bit slow at some points.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! After those mushrooms, you can climb your way up using the small bumps on the right column. Maybe I should've made them more noticeable. Thank you for the feedback :)

a very good game, it took me a bit to understand the main mechanics but when you understand it it is a very gratifying sensation, just like the sound of the boops when you move, here is your prize haha

Thanks, glad you liked it :)

Awesome! Took a bit to understand the controls but I got going once I understood. I like the nice palette too :)

Thank you :)

Very polish game. The little random messages reminds me of the 'Getting Over It' narrator, and the mechanics finding the right direction combos for certain jumps gives me Jump King's vibes of knowing how long to hold the jump button. The game nails the Foddians themes!

I think the only part that slow down the gameplay flow is when, after full charge jump in the air and landing, I felt waiting for the movement energy back up can feel a little too long.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Happy to hear that you liked the little messages.

I felt the same about recharge times too, actually considered adjusting them when I was halfway building the map. But it would affect how much distance you could cover with a jump and mess up the difficulty of things I'd already placed. In the final half of the map, the jumps are more difficult and I felt that those small pauses kinda helped with the concentration I needed for the jump :)

I love the concept! Once I realized what was going on I was blown away by the cleverness!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words :)

Original idea on how to gain and measure momentum. I think that the first part of the game is too hard for new players because they are still learning how to move. Good submission!

Developer

Thank you. Yeah, it is indeed hard to judge the difficulty of an area as the developer. I should probably get my games playtested by someone other than me before releasing. Hopefully the training mode saved the situation :) Thanks for the feedback.

Probably the most unique movement mechanic I have seen so far, and works really well with theme.
Takes a bit to figure out but once you have it all makes sense.
I also like how there isn't just one linear path to the goal and you can take multiple ways.

Well done

Developer

Thank you :)

You've had a good idea and it's well done, very difficult and frustrating but that's kind of the point.

The movement mechanics are interesting, difficult to understand at first but you get used to it.

I couldn't finish it, it was very laggy on my laptop, if you release a downloadable version after the jam I'll try again.

Developer

Thanks for your comment, happy to hear that you find it interesting. Godot Engine reportedly has some issues with Firefox. On my computer it's playable on Firefox but with way fewer FPS compared to Chromium. I don't know which browser you use but wanted to share this just in case.

Submitted

It's the same for me, on the browser my game works fine on my mac but not on my pc. I use chrome and firefox fr my tests.

That's why it's better to post a downloadable version as well, it's safer.

Such a cute art-style and great music.
