Really good art, top notch sound design, and really well integrated animations. The design of the card game really felt like it was built specifically for being horny. A highly cohesive product for a jam game. All that said, I did not fully understand how to play. It would have been nice to have either an explainer or tooltips to explain what all the numbers were, and which ones I had to keep high or low.
I got an error towards the end of a round:
ERROR inaction number 1

A pretty fun card game once you get the hang of it. Though im not sure if the rats "squeak" effect is meant to take effect before damage to your character gets calculated. On one hand it feels kinda cheap, while in the other the rat group encounter would probably be a lot harder without it.
i like the general idea, but man, the encounters with five mice just seem designed to completely fuck you. and not in a good way. i just cannot do anything fast enough against 12+ desire every turn, lingering desire doesn't seem to finish anyone off, and even charming doesn't help since they won't bang each other. i can either pass turn forever or lose half my bar to this with no reliable way to ever decrease it.
i guess it's extra frustrating because it feels like there's very little strategy with the cards themselves; i can't keep cards until next turn, for example, so it's completely random what i'll be able to do. i don't think there's a deck editor, either. i have no idea what i'm supposed to do here lol
OTHER than that, it's a good concept and execution. really appreciate the tips on terminology while playing.
Despite the tutorial being a bit crammy due to the rush, the game does have a full release potential, i just wish the shop was explained, and that "show secret spot" was rebalanced.
Another thing could be keeping the UI a little more consistent, such as bunching the debuffs around the left side.
I did crash it once by trying to give myself lingering, but that was me trying to break the game.
10/10
Thanks for takin the time to write this, this feedback it really usefull to focus on the rougher edges.
I'm happy that you could push through the exterior and have some fun.
very cool game! loved the art and sounds, and once i got the hang of the gameplay it was really fun! i definitely think the mechanics could use some explanation though, and some persistent keyword tooltips (or a keyword list you can pull up whenever) would be very helpful. great work though!
Thanks you a lot.
I'm taking notes on all feedback thanks for taking the time to write :3
Nice, though many things aren’t clear (and remember every thing from Help is not too easy :D especially before playing; Plus I still don’t really understand even half after reading Help multiple times). Access to help might be very useful in-game, not only from main menu - or at least show a tooltip when hovering over enemy / hearts / cards. Shop was the most confusing thing, I guess. Encounters are a bit unbalanced. Either it’s an easy win (and after upgrading everything twice and good looting - even the boss battle was kinda relatively easy and it was weaker than some random encounters judging by numbers alone)
Apart from that - really cool. I hope it’ll get some future :)
Thanks, :D
I'm aware of some of this problems and I'm already noting things to fix them.
I hope your experience was enjoyable even with those rough times.
Absolutely love it! There's a few rough patches and bugs, but the idea and artwork are fantastic! Definitely want to see this expanded. The high-res pixel art is gorgeous and the card art is invocative and fun. The card drag effects and character animations really help the game come to life. A fullscreen option might be a nice addition and I would also like to see the background brightness and contrast touched up to makes the sprites stand out just a tiny bit more.
The sound design is great, the music tracks and sound effects fit the action very well. I also appreciate that it was all made specifically for this game. Very impressed.
I found the gameplay to be easy to understand. I also like the card descriptions on click, it's a great and intuitive addition to the mechanics. The balance however is very skewed and I haven't been able to finish the game despite playing around 8 sessions. Some encounters are very easy, others are extremely hard. I recommend changing the high but permanent pleasure bar for the player to a modest one that resets at least partially between encounters. You might also want to include some way to draw from the deck during the player phase or lock cards in your hand for future use. Currently I end up skipping a lot of turns hunting for the right kind of bang card.
There are some major bugs in the game such as the game map occasionally resetting and the game crashing on a gameover.
Overall, I think this game is incredibly promising and I will absolutely play it again when it's updated. Every member of the team has done an amazing job and I really appreciate what you've been able to accomplish in just four short weeks!
Wow! Thanks for the kind feedback!
I'll keep working to take this product to the best posible state >:D
I don't think I actually understood how to play? And, it ended up crashing after what I think was my health bar overflowed. The art and music were good. Hope to see this project get some love.
Sorry to hear that you coudn't enjoy it.
Thanks for trying anyway. n.n
I will keep working in this game to polish and expand.
