Very cute sprite work, the music is fun and fitting, and I'm always a fan of stomach inventory vore mechanics. This is a great foundation!

Thank you a bunch!

Very pretty and polished animated sprite art! I really like how the characters look and the environments are a good match.

Audio is great, the music matches the pace and look of the game, and there are appropriate sound effects associated with every action.

There's a solid showcase of the mechanics to get players thinking about the different types of interactions the game may have in the future. I don't mind the lack of downwards or upwards attacks, it sort of gives the game a "beat 'em up" feel. Enemies feel a little too durable at the moment but are not that dangerous due to the stun and knockback mechanics, which de-incentivizes players from wanting to fight them. A map may become a welcome addition as the island grows. The stomach inventory is a neat concept. The controls are good and the attacks are satisfying.

Very nice work getting all of this stuff working and looking this good in a single month!

Cute game. Dunno if you planned on adding upwards/downwards attacks.

Well, we decided to stick to two directions to lighten the load of adding features and creatures during the jam. Bumping it up would require reworking some things, so between that and just tweaking the game to feel better with what it's got already, I'm not sure at least on my end!

Very good for what you two as a team have done so far, even though it's pretty unfinished. If there was any criticisms I can give about the gameplay right now (at least, I hope I'm not accidentally tripping on any remedies that were initially planned), I will note that the tongue attack from the green dragon (whom I assume is Apple???) is a bit unbalanced compared to the other dragon's fire attack since it's quicker to use and provides knockback.

Other: I attempted to eat a bush, but then I realized it was a bush. But a bush does look pretty filling, and in the belly, it would certainly feel soft brushing up on the ground, but you'd best not rest on a belly full of bush because the leaves would give way to branches that would really hurt.

Developer

thank you a whole bunch for your thoughts! Yeah, the tongue attack is one that we have more plans for, like making it actually eat enemies yoshi-style and such! Balance in general would definitely be another thing to look more into outside of the pressure of the Jam!

And, the bush-vore concept was fun to read there, hehehe. Maybe just the berries alone might prove more appetizing...
