This game is so fun. Had a joyful time playing it

Thank you! <3 I'm most happy that my kids love it :D Though I have to make an easy mode for them as it seems

Great game! As a suggestion, adding some sort of boundary to mark where the game ends when the egg is taken would be helpful. I accidentally took it myself.

Developer

Oh, haha, I know people sometimes get egg to the nest forcing a win condition, but I haven't tested that you can get an egg outside xD
Definitely polishing it more after the jam. I think I wanna add some features as well and yeah, either visible borders or an endless world that generates around

This was really nice! Something about weaving through those spears was really satisfying and I love the art! I'm impressed for your first project.  I think just adding a bit extra juice would make it even more addicting. Some screen shake, very slight pause when you're hit by a spear, maybe a couple extra sound effects. I also noticed that eating people didn't do much for me.  It was more effective to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge to reach the end. I think looking at Rampage to make the eating more satisfying could give some ideas?

Great work, can't wait to see what else you make! My time was 79 seconds btw =)

I started this project at the same time as the jam, but I didn't thought of tying it to jam originally (I thought I'll never finish that in time). So it was originally a game about chasing and eating people. But then I decided to get it as a jam submission and added the egg and it clicked, so I guess eating people is a rudimentary mechanic now (unless I can figure a way to incorporate it in future build).

And yeah, thank you for the feedback, definitely checking out how to implement more effects in GODOT <3

Oh and my best is 37.93, but I practiced A LOT during playtesting :D

Thank you!
This is my first project and I started only on Wednesday, so I was reaaaallly scared to design levels, thought I won't finish on time
