Really great execution!

Sorry about the sound. I was really on the fence as to whether to cut the music or leave it in, looking back I probably should have cut it.

Great game! I think it's probably one of the best in the Jam. 

One small thing though, I kept getting the character stuck while moving around the lampost. I guess maybe the colliders are getting snagged or something like that. 

You've done really well on the technical parts and incorporating the theme into the game. 

It was a little hard to figure out what to do in the dungeon although I eventually did. I think you could've communicated what was required of the player a little better.

Damn. I can see why this took 4 people. Nicely done. One of the best ones yet. Made me feel things as others here have already said enough times. 

I really liked the writing here. It wasn't quite clear what exactly I was choosing with some of the choices and I didn't really understand the ending  I got. That being said I felt like the story and writing really made up of for all of that. 

Thanks, it was disappointing to leave it unfinished. The world building's meagre but it's meant to guide the course of the story.

Sorry that's one of the downsides of using pygame. Writing bad code tends to drive the performance down quite a bit on less beefy machines

I enjoyed the game. I would suggest that you add waves and maybe a point system?

It played sort of like XCOM, which in my book is good thing.

I agree with the rest of the comments that the art was stunning . I did feel though that drawn images  didn't work all that well with the (pixel art?) tiles, in that case I think maybe illustrated isometric tiles would have worked better (though I'm guessing it might have added complications to the code). The gameplay was slightly confusing at first, (The fact that the kind of card sorting changes really threw me for a loop on the first run). 

The concept of rolling random  numbers with the dice and then you assigning them to stats was pretty neat, although the focus on this aspect was somewhat lost and I didn't think what I did with the numbers mattered much, mostly because the card sorting mechanic also decided the result of the player's actions. 

Overall, I liked the gameplay, it was fun. :)

The music and art are nice, though I feel that the pixel art sprite sort of conflicts with the (seemingly?) higher res background. 

I understand you didn't complete the game but don't worry too much I just barely finished mine :) . 

Thanks! The WASD controls were planned originally but I couldn't fix the complications they created within the Jam's timeframe.

I think adding a tutorial would help a lot some of the mechanics were hard at first, it is however a beautiful game around a nice concept, the soundtrack suited it perfectly and the pixel art is great. Though adding randomly generated maps would also be a great feature and a way to expand the game and keep replayability.
