I really like the idea of the game, the music is really nice, BUT im pretty sure that the notes were not in sync with the music.
Other thing that lacks is an objective.. there is no high score or something similar, its just taping the notes until they finish.
Other than that, nice idea, well done!
Got to respect that 18 seconds before the deadline, A good rhythm type game with very catchy music, liked the background and enjoyed playing it, fee there could of been more of a challenge within this as I spammed the mouse on the second playthrough and was expecting a game over screen, would of loved it if there was a game over screen, but a good game overall! Well done!
A brilliant rhythm game, I feel a bit more explanation at the start could have helped, as I didn't really know what I was doing beyond tapping and what button to tap initially. Just makeing it a bit more idiot-proof. The soundtrack was upbeat and pleasant and the general visuals was also a nice touch. As mentioned by other players, a score system and a way to fail would be a great addition. A strong submission.
18 seconds before submission!? Cut it a little close there, huh? Download was easy and almost idiot-proof, good work. A well made little rhythm game, with a very solid soundtrack. I think that this has a lot of potential with some polish and expansion.
I feel that there needed to be some visual feedback and score, as the only way I could tell I was hitting notes was that the blocks disappeared. Some win/end condition would have meant that there wasn't an awkward bit where you realise that the game is over. Some slight animation on the character and environment would have really improved the polish, but perhaps that may have been out of scope. Other songs would have also been nice, but again, perhaps out of the range of what you could do at this point in time, which is entirely valid.
There is room to make a game that is worth putting on the marketplace, but some expansion and polish would definitely be needed. For this project though, I think that this game comfortably meets the requirements. Well done.
Rhythm games hold a special place in my heart, I'm so glad to see them in this jam. Great music choice and I love the pixel art. You probably already know what you'd do to flesh the game out given more time: score, failing, multiple songs etc. but this is a really solid start!
I really enjoyed this game! I love rhythm games so had a lot of fun with it. At the moment there doesn't seem to be any way to fail, and the game seems to continue in an endless loop, so if you wanted to expand this further you could look into adding some code that checks if the player missed a certain amount of notes, and if they did they have to restart for example. A score system would also be great, and maybe even some visual feedback when you click to show that your hit was registered. Really good job overall, I hope you get to work on this more!
Really fun idea - pretty unique. I love the audio being upbeat and the mechanic was fun to play. Congrats! :)
