Having the space bar slow the character down really threw me off which admittedly because its not something I've seen before which is a good thing! Such a simple concept but kept me coming back for more; the grey blocks were too tough for me wee mind so unsure what else was lying it wait.
My design mind already sees other thing this game could add such as blocks that speed up or slow down alongside Billy himself slowing down to throw the player off; love the fact that your way to use the one button leaves so many options for exploration open.
Will say that at the beginning of the game the scene jolts as from what I can see Billy is started at too high a Y position? May be wrong but is noticeable when the rest of the game runs smooth. Plus some sort of progress gauge is nice, I would have likely kept playing if I knew there was more waiting.
Thanks! I believe I had the respawn object and the player too high which is something I need to fix.
This was a pretty fun game i like the way that holding space stops the character to make sure he doesn't get knocked out.
I'm thinking maybe he should go work in a bit of a safer environment though or maybe wear more safety clothing because this looks like a dangerous work environment.
Some sound effects and music would be pretty cool and keep the player engaged. Adding a distance traveled calculator might also be useful to let the players see the progress they make!
Yeah, the idea of a scoreboard would be pretty awesome. In the end it would be cool to make it endless kinda like jetpack joyride.
A cool spin on an interesting concept. I like having spacebar slow Billy down, rather than having it speed him up. It adds an element of difficulty in that you have to plan out how you're going to get past certain obstacles, as otherwise you'll get caught out. Next I would work on adding some sound effects/background music to the game.
Overall, one of my favourites so far!
Cheers. Yeah sound is my next step to figure out in unity :)
I like it! Could maybe do with some sound effects but overall really enjoyable!
On a minor point, when you respawn after dying your character is slightly off the ground until you press space, It doesn't seem to impact gameplay at all but I figured I may as well mention it.
Great work!
Thanks! Yeah Ill probably try and make it a little bit more accurate.
