Glad you enjoyed the game, the pacing was quite hard to get right and it is something we are addressing for sure.
The control system is actually in the pause menu, it is just under settings!
Thank you for taking the time to play our game, I couldn't agree more with what you have to say unfortunately. I believe our main issue was a classic case of over scoping. Although we managed to deliver on the graphical side of the game with myself and the other modeller working some crazy hours to achieve it, our programmers were quite overwhelmed with the scope of the mechanics in which they had to complete. The control scheme should have been implemented into the main UI but again we did not quite find the time. Next jam we do, we will be definitely scoping back to provide a better rounded experience. However should you be interested I believe the issues our game has are being ironed out currently and after the jam an experience closer to the one we wanted to provide will be available.

Since it has been fixed i have tried out both levels, really like the designs and think the overall game looks nice. However i found the controls extremely hard to use and the movement to not be very smooth. Which all in all made it hard to progress through the game and really do anything at all, i think if you addressed the movement a bit more you would overall have a really nice game.
Really impressed with the models and the level design everything looks really cool.
Felt the shooting mechanic was off though, i feel it would have benefited much more from an independent aim for shooting rather than a fixed cross hair. This also made it impossible to kill certain enemy's because you couldn't aim at them.
The transition between levels was a little janky as well but i loved the idea of coming down from space on to earth!
Overall a fun game with some great looking models and scenes!
The game looked really nice, i felt that mouse movment for both shooting and flying wasn't a great idea and might have benefited from wasd instead. Also the fact you could fly above all the terrain meant you never had to doge any of it (not sure if this was the intent)
The different elements for enemy's was a cool idea!
Overall though a nice concept and a fun game to play
Really nice models and overall aesthetic i felt the game came together perfectly to provide the experience you were going for.
The game was challenging but not too difficult and thew option for a controller was a fun idea that was worth trying out.
The boss's were cool and looked great and it was interesting to see enemy's stacking up if you did not clear them quick enough.
Overall i had a lot of fun completing this!
I really enjoyed the art style of this game and felt the models were really well designed.
I did have some issues with the boundary's of the game and if you flew too far up or down you couldn't really see what you were doing.
There was a weird tunnel mid game that didn't look like it was supposed to be there and i thought maybe i had flown long enough o be outside the game. But then i came out the other side and it continued. Not sure if it was a texturing mistake or something but i didn't feel like it was supposed to be there.
Really enjoyed the animations when you blew enemy planes up. Overall a cool game!
So i must say it was a bit jarring starting in the game straight away. But on first looks i was very impressed by your 3D Models. then i attempted to move and the boat felt a little strange, the cursor for firing appeared to not be on the screen and i had to find it. The cannon balls did not seem to fire very far and could actually get caught on previous fired balls stopping you from shooting past them. Rocks seemed to be the only thing that damaged you and as previously said you could get negative health and never lose. I wasn't really sure if the points went up when i shot something or just hit it with my boat.
Overall a really cool concept and art style i think ti just needs a bit more work to make it into a great game!
Firstly really enjoyed the art style very retro and i loved that, also the models were both simplistic yet perfectly designed for this game. Really impressed with them and the whole continuity of design very very cool.
I did also really like the barrel roll and backflip animations even though they serve no purpose although perhaps disappointing they did not serve a purpose.
The music was excellent as were the majority of the sound effects, however some of them were a little jarring and repetitive (i think its the enemy's taking damage noise) which i didn't overly enjoy maybe a different effect would have been more suitable.
I found it kind of strange that the controls were told to you at the end of the game and maybe felt there should have been a main menu with controls on instead of just being thrown into the game. The win screen also felt a little weird and sudden. I didn't really realize i had reached the end of the level until the win screen popped up.
Overall i really loved this game and it has got me itching to go boot up some of my old classics, really good job all round
