- I had so much fun with this one! I really enjoyed the cryptic vibe of it all and the mystery—it captured my interest very well. I was worried at the beginning when Trinkle and her father were chatting that the story might be too grand for the limited development time, but you handled it well! The story had a natural conclusion (it’s a cliffhanger, but I don’t mind at all; that just means I get to enjoy more of this instead of a half-baked story). The character animations and designs were great! They all fit the theme perfectly, and the animations are so full of expression, blending well with the art style, which is also fantastic. The belly incorporation was well implemented and didn’t feel forced at all. The story fits the '50s theme perfectly, and the black-and-white design works nicely for that. The coding was very good too; I never had to restart the game due to a bug. The only issue I had was when going near the gentleman with the sandcastle—I couldn’t get out of that area until I switched to another character and then switched back. I didn’t like the automatic text scroll. I usually could finish the text, but I found myself reading it as quickly as possible, and I wasn’t completely comprehending everything, which is a huge bummer because all the writing I did read and understand was great. Since this is such a story-focused game, not being able to keep up with the dialogue is definitely a problem. I also had trouble reading the text sometimes, especially when I found a clue. I really had to look closely to see what the clue was, and half the time I just guessed based on the dialogue I had just read. I’m not sure if the dialogue said this at some point and I missed it, but I don’t believe you mentioned that I could right-click to investigate an item, and I certainly wish I had known that sooner. Overall, this is a great game, and I look forward to seeing where it goes! Thanks for joining the game jam! :)
- Absolute PERFECT SCORE! The writing was witty and awesome. The characters totally had that 50's vibe. Secondly the game was very unique, the point and click adventure style was super cool! The kink was embedded in the game world in a perfect manner as to where it felt natural and grounded which is something I also love to see. Thank you very much for your submission and I can only imagine great things for the future! -Mark(Team Quimbly)
- It's INCREDIBLE! The attention to the theme is second to none, the characterisation of EVERYTHING is absolutely spot on! You only really lost points because I found some very minor bugs (the camera got stuck, but switching characters fixed it, and one conversation with Angie looped oddly, but the game recovered afterward) - Due to the type of game, a hint button may be a good idea, just to nudge the player in the right direction, but for the most part, it was wonderfully intuitive! I did get stuck just once, not realising I needed to right click items to examine them, please make this more clear. Other than that, I only wish I could have seen more gradual inflation, just to see bellies grow tantalisingly as you progress (especially for Angie in my case), it would have made the game that little bit sexier. I digress, the game is amazing and you should be extremely proud of what you've created.

Good point
-Exceptional art. Beautiful pixel art. Disturbing aesthetics. It's a love letter to the point and click style of the 90s. Day of the tentacle, sam and max hit the road... Brilliant.
-The gameplay, the wacky side of the dialogues, such charismatic and charicatural characters.
-The opening cinematic, the music. From an artistic point of view, for the moment your project is the most coherent and the most solid. It totally suits the style of gameplay from which it has borrowed the codes. Magnificent
???- I don't put it in the point to review because it's part of the aesthetics. But the "test everything and anything on anyone" side is a style, but it's part of the points I've never adhered to in point and click.
Point to review
-The movements at the point in click are difficult, especially at the level of the footbridge.
Final view:
Nothing else to say in the style it is simply magnificent. Great art with a rare finesse I really applaud. The only point that is not really negative is the niche side of the point in click of the 90s, which can be extremely complicated or off-putting. But in your case I find that if there was not this aspect, it would not have entirely paid homage to the style. Well done again.
Thank you for your work and for allowing to play your game. Good work and maybe see you next time.
Thank you for the kind words! Honestly I'm hoping once we flesh things out with some more dialogue the puzzles will flow a bit better
Very invested! I think this is shaping out to be my favorite game from you so far, very excited to see how the plot progresses in the post jam builds!
Its looks interesting, i hope for more of your art already :D
