  • Great game, fun to play and has loads of potential! One bit of feedback would be to smooth out the controls, the ghost felt like he'd jump around a little and it was hard to know what had already been interacted with so maybe add something to indicate what's been done already! :D

Overall I think the game was great, it had an awesome concept and I think with a bit of polish it could be a really great VR game!

This was a really fun and creative entry!

What I liked:

  • Solid jump scare to kick things off.
  • Being a ghost and moving things around to save someone was super creative.
  • The amount of intractable objects added to the game in such a short time is impressive.
  • Fun voice acting. That dude could not take a hint!
  • For such a big scope, you managed to put together a complete experience!

Some Notes:

  • The movement would sometimes jump. I imagine this might be from player colliders running into other objects that launches the player.
  • It may have helped to change the material of objects that have already been interacted with to further signal to the player what was completed.

Overall, this was crative, fun and impressive in terms of scope and completeness.

Thank you for such a great entry!

Great work!! Super creative and that jump scare got me so bad lmao

The jump-scare got me so many times during development, even thought I knew it was coming. Especially the first time!

Such a fun and creative idea. I think that's a perfect fit for the theme.

Was pretty happy as i was able to safe his life in the 2nd run... this guy seems to be really a bit slow on the uptake^^

Also cool, that you made so much stuff interactable and even put in such little details like the credits of the music.

The biggest problem was at the beginning to find out, what to do actually... Walked around, turned lights off,  interacted with all the machines and items and  saw and heard this kid outside..., but until i watched the trailer had no idea how to open the door.

But all in all congratulations to a really great game.

Really fun idea. Bravo for your creativity! 👏🏻

I especially liked the moment when the guy runs to open the door while being all excited 😂

It was a little bit frustrating that objects fall out of my hand if I hold them for too long. I'd rather want to be able to hold them longer in order to aim better.

I couldn't for the life of me get that door to open. Then I watched the trailer and found out you had to pick up the candy first before opening the door. I couldn't figure out how to trigger all the items for the guy. Does it depend on if he is in the same room as you or not? If you switch off the lights in one room while he isn't in there it doesn't trigger or do I have to turn it on and off again while he is in that room? That was my only real issue. I liked the spin on the theme and how you have to be the ghost instead of being the one who is scared. Very cool!!!

Developer

There are actually five ways to scare him.

- Turn off the lights when he is in the room
- Activate one of the appliances
- Move furniture
- Throw stuff at him
- Make other sounds (toilet, dresser, piano)

Great idea - and I loved the intro... nice twist :)

Fun game, enjoyed playing it and well presented. Work well on the quest too and great instructions and story.

Movement was a little too fast for me, would be nice to have an adjustment option, I felt a little queasy after a while and the teleport seemed a little unpredictable - also it may have helped to have a highlight on the items that are interactable when you hover over them, just so you know it's something you can do something with.

Good solid entry though, great job!

Cool idea and nice realization! Intro is great too!

Controls are a bit buggy though. Grip buttons sometimes grab items, sometimes teleport me somewhere else.

Developer(+1)

The grip DOES always work...but you are a ghost, so you can't hold onto things for very long. That wasn't explained well, but that's part of the game itself. This explains why, in a lot of ghost movies, things seem to go flying rapidly and randomly...it is because the ghosts can't grip very long, so they can only throw stuff quickly.
