How did you choose to implement the Theme: Realm of Nightmares in your game?
In this game, you have to explore your nightmares in search for the root of your traumas.

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
3 - Moths are one of the main fears of the protagonist, therefore leading to one of the main antagonists to be a moth man

Very cool! I really liked the end scene and having control in the office; it caught me by surprise. Also loved the final enemy design.

I have to ask, how did you go about implementing the dialogue sound effects as the therapist speaks? Any videos that you may have as a suggestion?

Thx, the surprise was the idea of the plot twist, so i'm glad it worked! Also, the sound I did it all by myself, I recorded me doing like a "bah" effect with my own voice, then cut it just a little in Audacity, and the rest is the code itself. Everytime a new character is written in the dialog, the sound stops and plays again, resetting everytime. Also, everytime it resets the pitch of the audio is shifted by a random ammount between -0.1 and +0.1 (or smth like that, I don't remember exactly, lol). If you are planning to implement something similar feel free to ask anything you need. Good luck!

A creative take on the jam's theme, I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles, good stuff!

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm a fan of puzzles myself, so its nice to see that other people like them too

Fun art style and scares, although I do wish the final bit had maybe one more puzzle/plot point.

Developer

Yeah, the ending was too rushy. Another puzzle would have been fun to make. Thanks for the comment btw!

Nice puzzles, although I'm a bit torn on the ending (spoiler warning).

The graphic effects and artstyle used during it are pretty good, I kind of wish the entire game looked like that, but if it did then the ending wouldn't have the shock factor. Choices are hard.

Another nitpick that I have is the last monster's design. Why a dog, weren't moths the theme? It feels a bit too jarring, although the monster itself looks cool.

Hi, thanks for the comment! About the ending, yeah, I thought of the ending as kind of a plot twist, for the shock factor as you said. About the dog, idk man, a friend of mine designed the jumpscare and I thought it looked great, so I tried to implement it someway lol
