I love the idea of a single boss fight for a trijam game. We definitely feel the pressure rising as the boss gets harder. Well done :)

Btw I don't know if it's possible with unity to keep the music running when you reload a scene? I think not hearing the music restart from the beginning when you die would be a small thing that would go a long way, but again I haven't touched unity in a while so I don't know if it's easily doable!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it a lot!

Of course, it's possible to keep the music running when reloading a scene, everything is possible with Unity.

I did it on purpose that it starts again at each level, so that the music starts calmly in the first phase of the boss fight, and that it becomes more and more intense during the boss fight. Sorry if that feels unsatisfying.

Why do crabs throw so much poop?!??!??!?!?  (assuming is was crab poop.) Well done. The movement mechanic was a weird take but it was fun.

Developer

It's not crab poop ... lol

Thanks for your feedback!

I like you went for different movement mechanics, and a good number of phases for the boss considering the dev time. Makes me want to make a boss-fight style game, not tried to before. Well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing the game! Programming a boss fight is not that hard! But the real challenge is to come up with an original and fun idea.

Nice game! I like the gameplay mechanics, makes it very challenging and forces you to come up with a proper strategy to beat the crab!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and appreciating it!

Interesting game mechanics, nice visuals and sounds, well done!

The only only thing I'm missing is some juicy feedback when hitting the crab (sound or visual).

Developer

Thank you for playing the game! I appreciate it a lot!

The timer was at 2h 57min when I finished the game, so no time for adding a damage feedback, but I'll think about it in the next game jams.
