i like watching their heads explode :D great fun :)
I like the art style and the catchy beat that's playing in the background. I think a small thing that would have helped with instructing the player would be to have them press the spacebar at the start rather than enter. That's pretty much the only button they'd be using, so introducing them to that at the very beginning make how to play a little clearer.
Also, could you tell me what you used to develop this? Was it an engine or raw HTML5? I'm looking for other methods of developing games for browsers so I can participate more in future jams like this.
I used Godot Engine ;).
Thank you :)
Gameplay: 4/5 - Very nice idea! I would have loved to have a score above each client when I yell, just to understand well what happens
Visuals: 4/5 - Nice. Personaly I don't like too much the hyper-pixelized characters, but I have to admit there is a certain style. And certainly a lot of work
Audio: 3/5 - Basic. But at least not stressing. The noise of the yell should be more "impacting" :) You could have made a lot for the ambiance with more sounds, and less abstract (but yes I know : 3 hours!)
Enjoy: 3/5 - Loved the idea, but the playing is a bit simple, and I'm not at ease with the graphics (yes, that's a subjective note)
Theme: 5/5 - Completely! Patience is at the core of the gameplay, not only the introducing story or making me wait for anything.
the color palette is great. problem to understand at the beginning.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on. At first, I was just spamming the patience button, because I didn't know what else to do. But then I did nothing, and a head exploded - nice touch. That was when I realized how the game worked. I wish it had been more obvious to me from the start. But the head exploding was great! And the game matches the theme for sure.
Super cool idea! I love the color palette!
Lol i make mistake in the main text during gameplay. It should show "Patience!" instead of "Patient!" XD
A nice submission, with simple but engaging gameplay. My highest score was 386
