I think the slime was animated in a cool way, which made it fun to use it! Having a different color after each "death" is a nice touch! It would be interesting to play the game if the dead slime would stuck to the position it touched spikes! Also, don't overdo the spikes, close to the end it started getting quite repetitive to just die and reincarnate! Otherwise, excellent work! The game feels polished and fun!
Nice idea, nice game. I think I exaggerated the possibility of using my past lives as a safe path :)
great game idea, it was fun, and challenging.
Really enjoyed the mechanics and the small squeezing animation, that's impressive how much work you manage to do in such a small amount of time, you seem to make wise design decisions and to have precise scopes ! Well done
Thank you for the compliments. I'm not sure if they are justified but I'm happy it seems like it.
Under the hood there are some very hacky solutions that I resorted to, to save time. Maybe those are my "precise scopes". :D
They are: I don't know about godot, but I know I would have trouble making small platformers like that in unity, with movement, jumps and everything, especially with all the animations in the 3h.. And then to have a pretty complete puzzling level with an increasing difficulty.. But that's my idea behind participating in this kind of jams, learning to work fast and efficient !
cool game and great idea
Pretty fun, well used concept! The adjustable jump's strenght it's the right touch of challenge.
oh and it tooks me 49 slimes to freedom.
Thanks and good job on getting to freedom. :)
A always you end up having really cool mechanics! I think that maybe the last section felt a bit out of place in the game since you ended the game with something that wasn't the core mechanic but rather a slighty frustrating pixel perfect freefall.
Overall tho really good, I think having a slime counter at the end was super cool!!
Thank you for the nice words. :)
I agree it's a bit out of place. I wanted to add some variety in the gameplay and didn't have much time left.
I actually made it way easier than it was originally since I thought it was too hard, but maybe making it even easier (or removing it entirely) would have been the better idea.
