Fun way of using the theme!

First, I did not understand what I had to do, so I ended up with a 0 score, then something like 18-20 (I was trying to hit the "equal" button when I died so I restarted the game before seeing my last scode). It went pretty hard in a few step after being quite easy on the first 10-15 aliens.

I agree with the other comments, the visual should make the aliens and space most of the screen instead of being in a corner of it, I almost never watched the aliens and beam. Also, maybe using the countdown as a score instead of only aliens count, so the faster you are, the more you earn points.

Nice game, everything feels looks and feels good and snappy. I got a score of 15. :)

I only wished you could play with the numeric key block, could have been the 'Typing Of The Dead' for number enthusiasts. :D

Nice game :)
Maybe you could put the spaceship in the centre of the screen and have the turret actually turn the number of degrees calculated to shoot at the aliens
Also, sometimes I couldn't see the aliens until I killed them

Thanks :)

Yeah, that is great feedback. I don't consider myself great at game design, but we've been trying to think with a friend what we could have done to make it a little bit funnier if I had more time, because indeed sometimes you're too focused on the calculator and not on the combat. Combat was mostly here to add fantasy and give meaning to why you're computing, but you're right to say that it would deserve a bigger place !

Also I know there is this weird bug, I wished I had the time to fix it :(

That is an interesting idea that fits the theme quite well, and reminds me of Typeracer, which I like very much.

I think it would add a lot if one could use directly the keyboard instead of the mouse (at least I couldn't use my keyboard). And if the laser beam was directed to the appropriate alien spaceship.

Otherwise, the visuals are very cool, especially the aliens!

Thanks for the comments !

Yeah I got some feedback for friends asking why the keyboard does not work : it's a design choice (but maybe a bad one ahah), but I felt that the game would be way too easy with keyboard (even if I reduce the timer for the aliens).

As for the raybeam, it's just because there's so much that you can do in three hours ahah. Initially I had thought of pretty cool animations combat and stuff... but heh !
