I really like the assets you put together for the game. I think you could definitely tie a mechanic like this into a short story type of game. Because there wasn't a lot of context around the different elements, it was hard to know what stuff would combine and actually create something. It required a lot of brute force. More context/story could definitely point people in the right direction.

Developer

There was definitely a story planned. But I didn't have enough time to flesh it out so I just left in small descriptions for each element.
I was also going to add hints to guide the player too.

Like Turu, it reminded me of Alchemy! (In fact, we almost ended up doing the same ^^)

Congrats on designing all elements, that was not easy :)

Developer

Merci beaucoup :)

Reminds me of a game I was playing on my smartphone back in high school : Great Alchemy. But very well executed !

And congrats on designing each element within the 3 hours dev time !

Developer

I'm glad you liked it!

Quite fun, although, as other mentioned, I ended up brute forcing a little bit ^^ Still the music was pleasant, sfx was good and visuals are great :)

Congrats!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Nicely done, good work in 3 hours!

I got frustrated with the many refusals of "wrong" combinations. I don't have a design solution to propose however.

Graphics are a bit sad for me.

Developer

If I had time, each combination would create something :D

Hummm... 32 *32 /2 = 512 combinations

In 3 hours, that's more than 20s by combination. You had plenty of time! ;)

An idea that we hesitated to develop. You did it very well!

Music is a bit heady, perhaps you could have spawned it from time to time instead of a infinite loop?

Developer

Thanks a lot!
That's a good idea; I'll keep it in mind :)

Reminds me a little of Minecraft without the building. :D

I really like the sounds and the visuals. Everything looks and feels very crisp. The gameplay is a bit lacking, though.

I was focusing more on theme this time round :)
And I couldn't think of any mechanics that I could add in time :D

I didn't get very far, but I like the mechanic! Reminds me of Doodle God https://store.steampowered.com/app/348360/Doodle_God/

Developer

I added hints at the bottom to help people finish it :)
I was actually inspired by the flash version of the game that came out about 10 years ago :D
