Good idea, sound is good too, it was difficult for me to get more than 8 pigs in hamster haha

I have a really good time playing it !

Thanks! I find it difficult too and I've played it a lot while developing it :D

It's a pretty simple concept, but it came together to create an enjoyable game. The early part of the game gives you a chance to understand how the game works before the difficulty ramps up.

It feels like you could reskin the game using the same mechanic and come up with some interesting variations to make a longer game. Nice work on this!

Thanks for the kind feedback :)

Amazing !

At start, you go crazy and take a few, then you have to find these "safe spots" where to come back every time and you work on your peripheral vision and timing... And then you receive that pig directly on you, which seems like a good news, but then you realise that it just destroyed your  safe spots and that's when the panic kicks in ! I love how it goes from way too easy to way too hard in just 1 or 2 enemies, and you never knows when it's coming...

You can also trigger the hamster on specific spots to have groups of hamsters moving together as close as possible, which gives more space to move, but in the end, that's still pretty hard..

Well done !

That's great feedback! Crazy to see how you could extract so much from a little game :D

Really interesting mechanic! You have to plan ahead surprisingly far because it's not just where to put the star, you have to consider the path the star takes to get there

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it :)

This is a really cool gameplay mechanic.

My first game I got one point because I didn't understand that you need to move away again. But that moment gave me a huge "eureka"-effect where I very suddenly and very quickly understood what is so clever about the game.

And it gets hard fast, after about 10 hamsters it's getting difficult to move around.

Cheers! I thought it was too easy and was planning to actually add more enemy types :D

Nice idea : I love the fact that the game "naturally" becomes harder as you advance !

Maybe one constructive criticism : I would love to be able to continously press the left mouse button to shoot instead of constantly clicking, and maybe if that becomes to easy, you could add an "overshoot" probability. Maybe one other criticism is that the hitbox for the star is a tiny bit too large I'd say, but not too frustrating :)

Overall nice entry !! Congrats.

Developer

I purposefully made it clicking so players would have to move their mouse before clicking again :)

I forgot to shrink the star's hitbox when I added the star sprite - oops
