I know people already said so but the movement really could use more work, it felt off controlling the character. Also i feel like the game is way too forgiving, like the enemies deal only 5 damage when you have 800.
I never really felt any threat since the enemies are easy as well, especially after getting the hammer too.
The hammer is way too op, it appears you gave the player invincibility while the hammer animation is playing but that made him completely untouchable, i completed the boss without moving and just spamming hammer attacks and got out of it without a scratch.
But that doesnt take from the fact that i still enjoyed the game, the story and narrator were a nice way to keep players engaged and even though i was op, i still had fun killing those shadow men.
If you ask me the environment is really good too!

Thanks for the feedback! I didnt really know how "casual" the other people were in the jam so I went ahead and made it forgiving that way it could be fun and not discourage the players since it was for a jam. Was going to limit the health quite a bit but I noticed there were times when I was very unlucky and wasnt getting the right portal so I saw myself loosing quite a bit of health. I really just wanted to make this as casual as possible to give the player that "Invincibility" feel. I honestly ran out of time to make the boss a lot harder and more fun as well. Didn't really have the time to balance the game so I just made it enjoyable. Since I was also experimenting with the controls and that camera angle, I didnt want it to be hard along with it.

The movements feel very stiff and its awkward moving diagonally, the fixed camera angle can also be painful in enclosed spaces because it's too close.

The voices are a great plus, and the overall ambiance, sound-wise and graphic-wise is very good.

I managed to get out of bounds by going through the door I spawned in and just fell forever, but thankfully theres a respawn button.

I did the zone with the 3 portals 4 times before going to a new zone, not sure what changed it as I tried all 3 portals, if you had to beat it multiple times it would have been good to have some clue like flames appearing, because I almost gave up there

The ambiance was very good and polished, but sadly it was spoiled by stiff gameplay.

Great job !

Thanks for the feedback! Was trying something a little different with camera angle and the controls. The portals are random every time you respawn,  there isnt one that will  always be the right one, just so it can give that "infinite" feel.

I got stuck at the part where theres 3 portals I tried going thru all of them but none of them worked, didnt know what to do next.

Id say the movement felt a bit weird I expected my player to go to the front when pressing W instead he went to the left, should be easy to find an isometric character controller, the combat felt very satisfying though!

Very nice idea and beautiful graphics! good sound design too well done my friend!

Thanks for playing the game. The theme was infinite loop, so the portals are random each time the level loads. you have to guess the right one. It changes randomly every playthrough. I'm sorry to hear you didnt like the controls. I was trying to do something a little bit different. I will be continueing the game. Unfortunally, I only had 8 days to complete it. Now that I have the time to give each area the attention the deserve. I had to make alot of comprimises along the way. I will have an Update every month on the progress of the game. I really appreciate you taking the time to write a review. I will be releasing several games in the months to come. I would really enjoy hearing your feedback on them.

THE THUNDER HAMMER!!!!!!

Love the game, love the look, the controls and camera angle were a little interesting, but I absolutely love the dialog, and especially THE THUNDER HAMMER!
